Description

Furnished and equipped to an exceptional standard, The Mill offers a fantastic base to explore the dramatic Ceredigion coastline.

These two holiday properties, The Mill ref OM3 and The Stable ref OM4, are on the same site as the beautiful conversions of traditional Welsh long barns Tan Y Dderwen (Under The Oak, ref OZV), Beudy Bach (Little Cowshed, ref OZW) and Gwel-Y-Llyn (Lake View, ref OZX). The Mill is a converted mill, furnished and equipped to an exceptional standard, keeping its traditional style with a touch of class. It offers an ideal holiday base for friends and family. The Stable is a beautiful stable conversion situated in a 23-acre private estate which boasts magnificent views of the countryside and private lakes. Located in a tranquil setting surrounded by rolling countryside, these wonderful family properties boast character and all the comforts for the perfect countryside holiday. Close to the borders of both mid and south Wales, the properties provide perfect accommodation ideally placed for exploring the dramatic Ceredigion coastline where bottlenose dolphins are often seen.
The picturesque fishing town of Aberaeron is only six miles away with its large harbour encased by pastel-shaded Georgian houses. A short drive inland leads to the rural and traditional towns of Lampeter and Tregaron, where the Welsh language is mostly used by the locals. Tregaron feels almost untouched by the 21st century and is a bastion of the Welsh language and culture. The river running through the town centre leads to Cors Caron, a national nature reserve of peat bog which is one of the most impressive wildlife areas in Wales; home to rare marsh grasses, black adders, buzzards and even the occasional red kite. A perfect opportunity to discover the real Wales. Shops 3 miles, pub in village.

Large, beamed living/dining room with underfloor heating, French doors and oak floor, open-plan with spacious, well-equipped beamed farmhouse-style kitchen with breakfast area and tiled floor. Step to double bedroom. Separate toilet. First floor: Two double bedrooms, each with 5ft bed; one with en-suite shower room and toilet. Twin bedroom. All bedrooms with TV. Bathroom with over-bath shower and toilet.

Beautiful house and location. Quiet and tranquil with regular visits from birds of pray and other various wildlife. If its a club and fairground holiday your after there are towns a short drive away with wonderful beaches and other attractions. We had a meal at several local pubs and one being the owners restaurant (In Aberaeron ) which were great value for money a real treat , very tasty . Superb service. Mrs Thomas is a delightful lady. When booking for disabled check u have booked the correct house as booked the wrong one thinking it was disability friendly ,even so we managed and it didn't spoil the holiday. I didn't say anything to the owners either as it was my fault. Overall a thoroughly wonderful holiday. THANK YOU VERY MUCH 10 star plus plus xx .

What a fantastic cottage in a beautiful location! We really enjoyed our holiday, from the cottage itself, with the play area on site to the beautiful coast nearby. The cottage itself is spacious and modern. Our children enjoyed many hours just playing on site - running round the tennis court and climbing in the playground area. The locals were all very friendly including Mrs Thomas, the owner, and the 'next-door' farmer who gave us advise on pubs and shops. Aberaeron and New Quay are well worth a visit - lovely small towns with great beaches. We also enjoyed a day at Llanerchaeron (a NT property) and a coastal walk too. Happy times.
