Lovely cottage although the furniture and especially the mattress were uncomfortable.

This is a delightfully comfortable and quiet cottage in a superb location. The tasteful decoration in a "country cottage" style adds to the relaxed ambience. I was delighted that there was no television; a homely open fire with the wireless was a relaxing way to wind down after exploring the wonderful surrounding countryside.

Loved my stay. Warm and cozy despite it raging a game outside. Be aware of the low roof upstairs and the steep stairs, but overall is a lovely cottage. Great location. Fab to get away from TV for a few days.

We sort of fell in love with the mill house. It´s interior is extremely welcoming and warm. The furnishing and the colors are all of a piece. I admire the taste of the owner (or whoever is responsible), as the eye meets real beauty. The old mill times are alive in this house, without TV, what we treasured very much. On the other hand we had access to the Internet (WiFi) for any important contact to our working life. Looking out of the windows you can see the coastal line. So even if it is raining ( what of course happens when you are in Scotland :-)), you always see the ocean, changing with the weather and impressing with the view of an endless horizon. Without driving there are wonderful walks possible, starting at the steps of the house. There are other neighbors around, but it is still secluded enough to make a healthy contrast to Berlin, where we usually live. It is still, quiet, nature pure. Our next door neighbor, who welcomed us at arrival, is a wonderful old lady, very helpful and kind. The only thing that could bother you is the 10km away located nuclear power plant. We knew about it before and made a deliberate decision to go there. Whoever looks for rest and peace is at the right place here.
