What can I say but 10 out of 10 all the way. Cottage is lovely, would love to live there permanently, spotlessly clean and tidy, excellent value for money, very comfortable just like home from home. The location is excellent as it is centrally placed in the middle of the Island only takes a maximum of half an hour to get to anywhere on the Island. The staff are all very kind and helpful nothing is too much trouble for them. Well done to Calbourne Water Mill, have stayed before this visit and will definitely stay again.

We have stayed at the Mill House 8 or 9 years running for a 2 week holiday and have already booked for 2016. The accommodation is clean with large rooms and all the necessaries are supplied e.g. bedding, towels, tea towels, cutlery, etc. This is a family run property and the staff are efficient and friendly. The owners are frequently on the property to make sure everything runs smoothly and are available for a chat or to deal with a complaint (unlikely but they are there for you if necessary). We have never had to complain and have always found the staff helpful. When you arrive the cafe will serve you a complimentary tea and cake. All the food in the cafe is freshly cooked and the cakes are home made by one of the staff, who also makes various jams which are sold in the shop. The only downside (if it is a downside) is that the peacocks have a habit of waking you up early in the morning, but after a few days you tend not to notice. When we arrive it is like coming to a second home - hurry up next year!!! We would highly recommend this property.

We had a very nice time at the Mill House, everyone was very welcoming and friendly, just a couple of things which we thought could have been improved on, such as some hooks on the back of doors, like the bathroom, and some of the windows didn't shut properly. We do understand that this is an older property, and that it was February that we chose to have our break in, but the property did take some time to warm up, however, once it had, it was fine and cosy. Also the cooker was a little temperamental, and in the photos of the kitchen there was an Aga, which I was looking forward to using, but it wasn't in service so disappointed with that. The Jacuzzi in the bath was a novelty and very much enjoyed! The beds were overall quite comfortable, apart from the double one, which was apparently a bit 'springy', and the curtains in the front room kept coming off their hooks; these were just minor things, though, and didn't detract from our stay at the Mill House.
