This cottage was perfect, home from home. Amazing welcome pack with home made Lemon drizzle cake. Loved the cottage, loved the area, great pub in walking distance, what more would you want.

The welcome basket of fruits and nibbles made us feel at home straight away. The cottage was immaculately clean and although we did not need to eat any of the food that was offered in the freezer, it was good to know that it was there if needed. Lots of information on where to go and what to see. If, like me, you are tall you will quickly learn to duck as you go through doors; they are all a different height!

A thoroughly enjoyable cottage to stay in, wonderful location and just what we needed. One or two things seemed a bit 'tired' - the double bed and mattress were rather poor, the cooker took ages to come to temperature, pots and pans were in a rather shabby state. Sort these out and it would probably be '10' all round.

Great location for walks, with lots of booklets with suggestions and a customised OS map to help. Interesting local towns and plenty of places to visit within a 25 mile radius. The kitchen was really well equipped (a timer would have helped) but if you don't fancy cooking the freezer contained ready made meals (honesty box) made by award winning Louth butchers which uses meat from livestock on the owners farm. We didn't try the ready meals but the quality of the meat in the butchers was really good and we returned on the Friday to buy some more to take home. As the advertising makes clear, the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and the floor slopes which can be expected in a cottage of this age but the kitchen and bathroom are modern and very clean. The welcoming table laid out for tea with a lemon cake and local Lincolnshire plum bread gave a lovely first impression of the cottage as well as being delicious.

One of the best cottages we've ever been in. The attention to detail was second to none, for example a pint of milk in the fridge and a yummy lemon drizzle cake on the table. to be quite honest we did'nt want to leave. would recommend this cottage to everyone you will not be disappointed!!!!

Very comfortable cottage, with a nice large garden - great for the dogs (if only it was secure). A quiet location, with plenty of walks from the door step, especially to the next village, where you get a great meal at the Blue Bell. We were welcomed with a lovely lemon drizzle cake, which was delicious. The local pub is 'interesting', but serves a lovely pint of ale. We would definitely stay again.

A fabulous cottage in a quiet location. Very clean and a nice welcome pack of provisions left for us. Plenty of good walks from the door and a dog friendly pub about 800 yards away. Nearest shops in Horncastle about 5 miles away so a car essential. Would stay again if in the area
