Wonderful house. Lots of space and lovely gardens. A very good place for a family get together. I stayed with 2 daughters, son in laws and 5 grandchildren Good location. Canal at Stoke Bruerne a pleasant walk not far away. Children aged 3,5,7 and 9 enjoyed the walk across the fields. The baby carried by her mum. Already told friends about the lovely house and gardens.

The house is lovely and the local pub is excellent. However, the kitchen appliances are old and the house could have done with a deep clean.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: I am sorry that your stay at the Manor House did not meet expectations. The pictures on the website show the House and kitchen as it is -an old and characterful property. It has numerous unusual and original features such as exposed stone walls and flag stoned floors. The ceilings and walls have original sixteenth century wooden beams and the guests enjoy open fires. We try to offer high standards of cleanliness which are generally well reviewed by guests. The dishwasher referred to has been replaced. The Manor House is not modern but does offer most requirements for a comfortable stay and a relaxing holiday in a traditional country house.

The Manor suited all three generations of us. The pool was fab. The area was a delight to cycle round plus lots of good eateries. Stoke Bruene was a favourite. We went on the treasure hunt and ate in the Boat, the Navigator and the Fox and Hounds. The Manor was so well equiped with table tennis, a piano, DVDs, board games and everything in the kitchen that we required. We loved using the Rayburn.

What a fantastic place. Couldn't believe our luck when we found it was available for our last minute weekend and was perfect for celebrating with family. The garden's were beautiful, along with the pool, and great equipment for cooking large celebratory meals. Our only niggle would be the water pressure in the upstairs bathrooms, but it wouldn't put us off booking again.

We had a wonderful family weekend for a 60th birthday celebration, and enjoyed the lovely house, its roominess, the comfortable bedrooms, its location and surroundings.

We had a great stay at the Manor House, there is so much space that even though the weather wasn't great and we had a large number including 2 toddlers we could keep everyone happy and occupied. The recommended walk was good fun and we had a lovely Sunday lunch at the local pub. Table tennis was good fun as well. All in all perfect for our party which was made up families with young children. Just disappointed we didn't get opportunity to utilise the garden as it looked good fun!
