A lovely cosy cottage in a great location for exploring the New Forest and surrounding area. Friendly owners. Our only criticism was that the wi-fi was very poor - we had to sit in the garden near the main house to get a signal. But if you want to escape then that's a bonus!

Absolutely perfect location for us, access to all areas that interested us for this holiday. Very good road connections in each direction we needed. Good local shops for food buying, good local pub for eating out. Cottage comfortable, warm and quiet. The only downside was the patchy wifi, which was an irritation for us as we geocache as one of our hobbies, it wasn't bad enough to be an annoyance. Very friendly and helpfull landlady, our present plans are to return next year.

Having read previous reviews, we came prepared for the small bathroom and lack of a full cooker. But we had lovely dinners based on the combi microwave, slow cooker, and double electric rings. We had no need to resort to pub meals although we were told they were excellent. We were warm and comfortable. It was blissfully quiet and conveniently situated for things to do north, south, east and west - plenty of suggestions in the box of brochures and maps. The friendly owners were on hand if needed and yes, the welcoming flowers, tea and biscuits were much appreciated.
