The Lodge was a comfortable cottage and ideal for a couple. It had everything you would need for a short break, perhaps it would benefit from a conventional cooker although we did work around this and used the rather swish microwave with all it's bells and whistles! The cottage was situated perfectly for visiting the New Forest area including the many lovely towns and cities. The owners left a welcome tray of tea and coffee and a nice touch with flowers.

Clean and tidy , fine for parking , basic cooking goods , ideal as a base , would be good to have somewhere to put wet clothes and shoes to dry . Would have been good to have a few tips on the local area .

Myself and my partner stayed here from Monday to Friday as a week away from our London lives. This was a perfect get away. The lodge is a good size for 2 people, but feels so homely and welcoming. I looked forward coming home to it every day. I can't wait to go back.

Nice cottage in a good location for the New Forest & surrounding area. Well equipped apart from the cooking facilities which we found quite frustrating. The two ring hob took forever to warm up & twice as long to cool down and the combi microwave was quite fierce and we never really got the hang of it. A nice pub near by (walking distance) but we didn't want to eat out every night, sort of defeats the object of doing self catering. That aside we couldn't really fault the rest of it and would consider going back if we were in the area which has a lot of things to see & do. It was very quiet and peaceful & ideal for a couple.

We found that in spite of not having central heating the house heated up very quickly and so it wasn't a problem. The 'microwave'/convection oven, regarded with suspicion, was found to perform well. Two ring hob is limiting, I took a steamer to use on it. Local shops found to be more than adequate. Location brilliant, so much to see and do (even in Feb) and excellent road system to Portsmouth etc.

A great location for visiting the new forest. The cottage was comfortable and spacious for two people. If we had any concerns it would be the small bathroom and the fact that it did not have a proper cooker. Two rings and a oven type microwave was not sufficient to cook a decent meal. However we enjoyed the split level accommodation (the TV and couch in the bedroom)

Nice place, very comfortable bed and bedroom. Downstairs a little cold, so we needed to put on the extra fan heater and chilly in the shower. Lovely welcome biscuits and cuppa. Privacy fully respected, as the Lodge is in the grounds of the owners garden. Would return, as good value for money
