Enjoyed a lovely four night "chill out" time. Very relaxing with very comfortable beds which was great. The electric "log fire" burning stove was so realistic without all the mess of smoke and ash and made the lounge even more cosy. Creaking floorboards in the first floor bedroom was a give away to who was up first but not a huge problem. The owners were very helpful and friendly, would certainly stay there again.

Only thing wrong was slow wi-fi, not a problem!! A very good and relaxing few days for all of us, pity it was such a short visit.

Lovely spacious cottage , that has been finished to a very high standard. Only criticism is that it is quite near a road that is quite busy at times.

Fantastic cottage, so well designed, has everything you need, we had a very relaxing holiday. Lydney town is a 5 minute drive away so much to do in the area, being on the farm is no problem as we had no farm smells etc ,and the owners are so friendly and helpful thank you for a great holiday Sue &Phil Plymouth

My mother who is 91 years old and has mobility problems, myself and my 2 dogs stayed at the lodge for a week enjoying all The forest of Dean had to offer us. The Lodge made an ideal home from home the only things that marred our stay was that I forgot to bring my mothers bath lift and toilet seat hightener. The downstairs wet rom is very spacious and well equiped however the toilet is a little on the low side. The owners were very friendly and helpful

This is a property review: booked primarily because my husband is 'walking' disabled and requires a ground floor bedroom and bathroom with accessible shower. This aspect was satisfactory. However, the property is located on a busy minor road (an offset T junction). In reality this meant vehicles passing the property at 40+ mph and early/late commuter traffic. No peace and quiet here I am afraid. In terms of equipment, the television and remote were rather slow to respond. The wi fi was so slow that we spent most of the time watching the circle icon going round and round. The toaster was wholly inadequate, as a single slice of bread didn't fit. The Lodge is located within the owner's farmyard, with their house directly opposite. At no point did the owners bother to knock on the door and ascertain whether everything was satisfactory. If one requires a peaceful holiday, then I have to say this place is not for you. I think the owners should be honest about its location - there is no way to check this until the actual address is advised on full payment. Is it time to give out the precise location at the point of booking rather than just a pin on a map?
