Very good value for money. The flat was warm comfortable and well equipped. It was very well situated for the shops and restaurants.A short walk took you into Skipton, the bus and train station and the castle. The beds ate extremely comfortable.Although compact it has plenty of space for two people.

An excellent apartment in an ideal location with very friendly and welcoming owners. The apartment was spotless and had everything you could possibly want for either a relaxing or active holiday. It was superbly placed for all the gorgeous independent shops in Skipton and the canal but was also central to act as a base to travel further afield to explore the surrounding area. The off-street parking and very pleasant garden area were also very much appreciated. Would have no hesitation in recommending the accommodation to friends and family and would certainly love to return again in the future.

We have stayed at this property twice with a young child. On the second occasion the property had become somewhat tired and needs some attention. Dead insects in the shower lights and living room fixtures, damp and mould in both bedrooms leading to a damp smell through the property and old uncomfortable mattresses have somewhat tarnished the otherwise lovely place in a superb location for a fair price. A little spruce up would bring this back to the level which would make it an outstanding place to stay where we would stay again.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner: Thank you for taking the time to review our property. We take customer care and customer feedback very seriously. I'm sorry that you felt the property was tired, we do our best to keep everything up to date, the lounge furniture was new just a few months ago. We have now removed the lamps as it's impossible to clean the inside of them without dismantling them and as time is tight on changeover day we don't always have the time to do that. We have investigated the 'flies' in the shower room lights, they were wasps. They have now been removed. Unfortunately we had an influx of wasps in the roof space and they made their way down into the light fitting. One of the hazards of lights set into the ceiling. The beds are not old, neither are the mattresses. The 'mould' is condensation which is a result of a very wet summer and not enough ventilation, again we do our best to keep on top of it. The flat is well insulated and double glazed which increased the chances of this happening. We open the doors and windows on changeover over day but as its a short time frame it isn't ideal. We have now put a notice in asking our customers to ventilate when possible. We are coming to the end of a very busy, full season so any other issues will be addressed then. We can do minor repairs on changeover day but anything bigger that isn't an emergency generally has to wait until we have an empty week so as not to inconvenience our customers.
