It enjoys an attractive, well-maintained, enclosed terraced garden. This pretty, small village is surrounded by the unspoilt and stunning countryside of the Eden Valley and Wainwright’s ’Coast to Coast’ walk runs through the village. There are excellent walks from the doorstep ranging from pretty riverside strolls to more energetic fell walking. The house has been tastefully renovated to a very good standard and provides a charming mix of traditional and contemporary style, making good use of the space and light to enhance both indoor and outdoor living. The traditional market town of Kirkby Stephen is a pleasant, short walk away, and has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants. The Eden Valley is perfectly placed between the Dales and the Lakes and this lovely holiday home is ideal for families and friends exploring one of the most beautiful corners of England. Shops and pubs 3/4 mile.

    We visited in March 2017 for a weekend as a party of 10 to celebrate our parent's 50th Wedding Anniversary. The cottage is lovely and spacious with everything you could want for your stay and it was very clean. The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need, we ate in both nights. We didn't have time to enjoy the outside space but it would be perfect in summer. There's not much more to say really, it was everything we wanted and more and would definitely stay again.

    Good location just what we hoped for had a fab time been detached helped meant we could make a bit of noise without worrying about the neighbours only down side the bridge could do with widening made for a tight turn only a small criticism other than that cracking time .

    Great cottage for our family holiday. There was plenty of space and it was great value for money. It is in a relatively remote location, although you can easily walk to the nearest (and biggish) town, however this was perfect for us as we brought everything we wanted and it was great to be able to walk from the door into the countryside. The only very small downside to this cottage was it's thin ceilings/floors which meant sound travelled from down up very easily- it didn't cause us any problems but could spoil the holiday so make sure you locate family members wisely!- Only 1 bedroom is above the living room.
