Lovely cottage in fabulous village. Cafes and wonderful walks on your doorstep. Tideswell is the ideal spot for exploring the Peak District. The cottage is perfectly located, very central, but well away from roads. The owners are delightful and helpful, without being intrusive. The photos do not reflect the size of the cottage, which is very spacious. Secure garden for dogs. Would also make a lovely winter break-very well heated and insulated.

Lack of landline was an inconvenience. Use of mobile involved going outside and uphill (in frequently rainy conditions.

Nothing fancy but warm and comfortable. The cottage is in the centre of the village but on a quiet little lane. Fantastic walks from the door.

Delightful cottage. Very comfortable bed and pleasant sitting room. It was particularly useful having a freezer as well as a fridge. The triple glazed windows and efficient heating system were perfect in the chilly period we stayed. All in all a lovely stay.

A welcoming cosy cottage ideally situated in the beautiful village of Tideswell. Nothing had been overlooked, everything we needed was already there. Lovely touches like fresh flowers, tea and coffee. Warm and comfortable, fluffy towels and lots of hot water. Definitely recommend this cottage.

We stayed at 'The Homestead' for a long weekend. Tideswell is a lovely place to stay, everything you need within walking distance and walks into the countryside (for us unfortunately it rained). There are good places to go for meals out, and also for takeaways. The cottage has plenty of character, was warm and clean, the kitchen well equipped. The bedrooms were attractive and well furnished, the beds comfortable. Parking in Cherry Tree Square was easy and only a few seconds away. We would consider staying there again, but unfortunately found the sofa in the lounge rather uncomfortable. If there were four people staying, the lounge seating would not really be adequate. The wifi was patchy, so for anyone who needed it, this could be a problem. The owners were friendly and helpful.

This cottage is very well situated in the delightful village of Tideswell. It is very well equipped but a hair dryer would be a useful addition as rain does sometimes fall in Derbyshire! The accomodation is clean, comfortable and warm. There is a very good bus service from the village: timetables and other information would be welcome. Visitors might also like to know that 'The George' pub, apart from serving good food, acts as the village cinema.
