Our family have been coming to Hill House near Christmas for over 15 years so we have many happy memories and will be returning again this year. However there are a few points that we feel should really be addressed. Firstly the beds. They are generally very hard and very uncomfortable. Secondly the showers have always been poor. Bad water pressure, poor water flow and turning hot and cold whilst in use, plus this time constant blocked outlet in second main bathroom. It would be good to see some long overdue upgrading done in these areas. Other than that the house is wonderful with plenty of room and character and lovely gardens and views. Our family love gathering here over the Christmas season.

We really enjoyed our time at Hill House. It offers very spacious accommodation for a large group and we enjoyed the extras such as the tennis court and games room. It was lovely for all of us to be able to sit down to a meal at the same time!

This is a large house set in its own parkland. We used it for a large family gathering with quite a few small children. It was ideal. It was not too smart and not too shabby, meaning we could let the children play freely and safely anywhere in the house and grounds. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked some wonderful feasts for 13 adults and seven children. There is a good games room with snooker, table tennis and table-football, and another small room with a pool table. So there was plenty to do come rain or shine. There are lovely walks nearby along the canal, and plenty to visit in the area. We have stayed here twice, and will probably use it again.

This was a brilliant location for a family celebration for my birthday. There was plenty to occupy a range of ages.. Ours were from 82 to 2 ! By the time we left on Monday morning the place felt like home and we were sad to leave.
