great cottage the warmest cottage we have ever stayed in anywhere and everything you need for a great stay, the description says elevated position but I think it should be stated not suitable for people with poor mobility issues fine if using the car but steep hill back to cottage if you cant walk very far or are not fairly fit.

Cottage fantastic. Clean and very comfortable. Anyone not fit or have mobility issues would stuggle with the really steep hill upto the cottage.

Excellent cottage. Only bad bits were no WIFI and only basic TV. To get to the cottage is a bit of a climb but not too bad.

Lovely cottage a short walk from the town with its many amenities. Sleeping arrangements super but would have liked more comfortable chairs to lounge in. Overall a great place and super for dogs with direct access to fell paths.

We loved this cosy cottage with lovely views from both back and front but as over 70's we found the climb back up the hill after a days walking was a bit of a drag. The proximity to shops and restaurants was ideal and the small garden with numerous birds visiting the feeders is a delight.

This was our second stay at The Heights. We had a lovely week and the location of the cottage is brilliant for walking. The chairs in the living room were not very comfortable but other than that the cottage was great.

Lovely location, very clean. Steps a bit quirky, so need to be able bodied to stay here. Only minor issue- a little more detailed information about bin collection would help.

Really enjoyed our stay at The Heights. We loved the position of the cottage and it made a great base for our holiday. My only comment would be that the garden was untidy and overgrown but it wouldn't put me off staying there again.

We have stayed in many cottages from this company, usually when you arrive there is a pint of milk and tea bags etc so after a long journey you can pop the kettle on, sometimes there is a home made cake, or biscuits. Usually there are dish washer tablets too. the Heights didn't have any of these. So Initially we were disappointed as the welcome wasn't there. Also the parking is a bit vague. HOWEVER once we saw the real location, the garden and the bedrooms we were pleased. Its a basic clean and tidy house in a brilliant location for dog walks. No frills, but a good little house. The only real negative comment is the odd dining table arrangement which I am sure could be so much better. This cottage feels like a real business holiday let, where as usually we stay in more owner involved friendly more homely holiday lets. And I think the business side of the holiday cottage comes across too much. BUT great location, and super comfy bed!
