Close to both Hereford and Ross on Wye and the Wye Valley lots of things to keep people interested with different ages. House was comfortable with all the amenities. Although understanding the reason for a dishwasher still would have preferred a washing machine especially when seven of us.

Beautiful cottage. Warm and welcoming owners. Despite awful weather getting back this cottage kind of compensated for the Torrents from heaven. Lovely countryside. Excellent Victoria sponge.

A lovely house, plenty of room, well equipped and a lovely friendly landlady Kate. We would certainly come again. We even had good weather which was a bonus. First time we have stayed in Herefordshire, what a lovely county!

We had a lovely week from 25th March 2016 staying here in a quiet, rural setting. The Granary is very spacious, warm and well equipped. It has suited the needs of 3 generations of our family meeting up for a holiday in Herefordshire. It was very nice to be welcomed personally by our hosts Kater & John, as well as the cake and apple juice. We have enjoyed looking/reading the local books about the area and having the opportunity to visit many of them including Ross-on-Wye, Monmouth, Symonds Yat, Ledbury, Gloucester, Hereford, Much Marcle, Bristol Zoo and Cardiff. Meals out at local pubs have been very good (Axe & Cleaver, Black Swan, The Harewood End and the recently re-opened "local' Castle Inn). The Granary is on a working farm and this theme runs through the cottage including hidden ornaments in the wood beams - a beautiful touch! Don't be fooled by the property details mentioning sketchy wifi - it is excellent and never had any issues throughout the property. Kitchen is very well equipped so if you do want to cook during your stay you are well catered for - we made a full evening meal on 3 nights out of 7 without any problems. Overall a brilliant base for staying in the area with room for 7 guests yet without feeling cramped in any way. We shall certainly be looking to return in the future.

We spent a most enjoyable week at The Granary over Christmas 2015 - grandparents, parents and two grandchildren, plus our daughter for a couple of days. The cottage was warm and cosy; well equipped and there was a Christmas cake and other treats awaiting our arrival - plus a lovely Christmas tree and decorations. We would recommend The Granary to any family or group looking for a holiday in a spacious well equipped cottage in a countryside location with a warm and friendly welcome.

What a fantastic cottage...a real gem! The place is beautiful and so clean. The owner was lovely and helpful. Its ideally based and Ledbury is well worth a visit. We all had a fantastic time and cant wait to go back. I wanted somewhere special for a family weekend and this was definitely it. Thank you

Good property in a nice quiet location just 20 minutes from Hereford. Owners very friendly and obliging. Drive space a little tight for two cars but was not a major issue. We did miss the washing machine and would have preferred that to a dishwasher but we did know the facilities when we made the booking. Would make us think again next time especially as there were 6 of us inc 2 children. Cottage was well appointed, cosy and very warm.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; We are sorry these guests found the parking a little tight, however we do have a large farmyard at the back of the cottage and we always give guests the choice to park there if they wish. In the past three large 4x4's have managed to squeeze in at the front of the cottage, similarly we have had guests with only one car, park at the back it is entirely up to the individual. With regard to a lack of a washing machine, we are very aware, that particularly groups with children look to this as an important requirement. Therefore I am happy to wash and dry anything, this is offered in the guest information book in the cottage and I am always delighted to help in anyway I can.

We found Granary Cottage to be very comfortable, spacious, spotlessly clean, well equipped for self catering and there is plenty of comfortable seating for the evenings. The maps and walking guides were very helpful and we found the location to be very convenient for visiting local places of interest. There is certainly plenty to do in the area. If it rains the books, games and DVDs will come in handy too. Thanks very much for the cake and apple juice! We thought it was very good value for money.
