There is a separate entrance to the property and ample parking. The area is very picturesque, it is close to Garty Lough and overlooked by Bruse Mountain which dates from the Neolithic era. For those interested in walking, the Cavan Way is 14 miles long and Killykeen Forest Park provides lake walks, cycle trails and picnic areas. Fishing, golf, horse riding and canoeing are available in the area and places of interest include Marble Arch Caves, Cavan Crystal and Dún na Rí Forest Park. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ miles.

    Absolutely perfect place for people and dogs. Quiet setting but close to a lively village with good shops, places to eat and cash machine. Great walks around and plenty to do for golfers, fishers and sight-seeing. Cottage had everything we needed and the owners are the nicest, most friendly people we could have ever hoped to meet. We are planning to make a vist there an annual event.

    Really authentic Ireland. This is ideal for a center for seeing it all. Did day trips to north and south. Wonderfully refreshing country location and people
