Enjoy shared use of a swimming pool in the summer months, a games room, or explore many cycle and footpaths from the doorstep.

With outstanding views over the Tillingham Valley at the end of a private drive in a farm setting, this splendid detached, oak-beamed converted granary dates back to 1850 and has been completed to a very good standard, with galleried oak staircase, latch oak doors and part-beamed throughout. For guests’ further enjoyment there is an internal games room and a table tennis table situated in an open bay garage opposite the holiday property. There is also shared use of the owner’s outdoor heated swimming pool by arrangement (June to September). For walkers and cyclists there are tracks and paths to be explored on the doorstep. Visit Rye with its antiquarian bookshops, potteries, antiques and art galleries. The Heritage Centre boasts the Town Model Sound and Light Show and a unique exhibition of working old pier slot machines! Explore the golden sands at Camber; visit Hastings and watch the fishermen land the days catch; ride the Kent and East Sussex Vintage Steam Railway or choose from the many beautiful gardens to explore - Great Dixter, historic castles, Bodiam or local vineyards. Coarse fishing by arrangement and golf locally. Shops 2 miles, pub ½ mile.

Wonderful location in the valley down a long private drive. The layout of the house is ideal for a large group of mixed ages. There are wooden floors throughout therefore no worries about carpets, yet no noise generated. Large enclosed garden safe for children. Good bbq facilities. The heated pool is away from the house in a secluded secured garden, but this area needs a little TLC. There is one very large bedroom with ensuite and dressing room with a day bed in, and a further 3 bedrooms & bathroom upstairs all of which are a descent size. Downstairs there is a further bedroom suitable for those unable to go upstairs plus a bathroom with shower off the main hall. All rooms have fantastic views over the Tillingham Valley. Would certainly return.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. The day bed in the main bedroom was broken, and there were some complaints from the party that their rooms were not very clean. Despite this we had a fantastic stay: the sheep right outside the front door was a real hit with the kids

The Granery was fine and in a great location but there was no travel cot as promised and the owner had to buy one especially for us. Furthermore when we came to cook breakfast for 8 the following morning we found that the utensils were dirty and had to be washed before they could be used. This should have been checked before we took up occupation.

Such a lovely house, a lot bigger than it looked in the photos. Great location too. Would definitely stay there again.

The location was a little remote and although it said you could walk to the Plough, we though it was a little too far considering there were no footpaths or lighting. I know it accepts pets but one of our party had an allergy and we thought perhaps the coverings on the sofas hadn't been washed inbetween guests. Overall the house is very nice and spacious and we enjoyed the pool table as a bonus. A good holiday let.

We celebrated an important birthday here with our family and some friends. The Granary is a great place to do this in beautiful countryside. Our overall impression has been good and everyone enjoyed it. It is not easy to find. A sign by the B2089 would have been parking no problem. House itself got everything. A regular maintenance check by the owners should be carried out to keep such a large place in tip top condition.i.e. light bulbs, toilet fittings, kitchen appliances, etc.,however it did not stop our fun. Rye is only 5 minutes away. Tenterden is also a lovely place to visit. Our grandson loved pool and football tables and table tennis.
