A lovely cottage in a lovely setting, however the fact that the only warm room was the kitchen (because the AGA was on all the time) spoilt it for us. The whole place could do with a face lift and the heating certainly needs an upgrade. Having said that we had a lovely week during the best week, weather wise, in September/October. I don't know if I would have given it 4 stars.

The Granary was great! We could have stayed forever. Yes, as others have stated, it's a bit tired in places (worn carpets, curling wallpaper, fridge on the blink and shelf broken), but it was nevertheless very clean. I'm afraid the iron didn't work, and the vacuum cleaner needs updating otherwise we would have done more to leave it tidy and ready for the next person. Also, whilst caviar spoons, nutcrackers and silver tongs are very nice, we are (sadly)not a shooting party and a cheese grate would have been a boon. Thank you, though.

Great quirky cottage, really loved the olde world feel and peace and quiet. The owner was super, called me before our arrival to see if she could help with anything, even leaving a lovely Sauvignon Blanc as a surprise on arrival. Would definately stay here again, very dog friendly, whole family had a great time. Next time we'll be doing the fishing and tennis also!
