Tucked away behind the quaint village post office/stores in a picturesque West Sussex village, this cosy little cottage for two is accessed via a tiny footbridge across a gentle stream. Enjoying its own private garden, The Granary discreetly shares 6 acres of grounds with chickens, ducks, a horse and geese along with the owners’ quintessentially English tea rooms offering delicious home baking and cream teas. With lovely walking on the doorstep, and a beautiful rural location ideal for exploring the South Downs National Park, The Granary lies just 3 miles from the charming town of Steyning, one of the prettiest small towns in Sussex. Worthing, Shoreham-by-Sea and Lancing are all under 5 miles, whilst Littlehampton and cosmopolitan Brighton are a little further afield. Shops 3 miles, pub serving food 2 miles.

Ground floor: Living/dining room/kitchen. First floor: 1 twin bedroom with sloping ceiling. Bathroom with shower attachment, toilet and sloping ceiling.

Woodburner in living room included. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Video. DVD. Stereo/CD. Microwave. Garden and furniture. Shared 5-acre grounds. Barbecue. Parking. No smoking. NB: Fenced stream next to property.

    Although the owners are pleasant people the cottage is below standard. The entire place is shabby, tired and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom in particular was unhygienic and not fit for use. (see picture of mould on side of the bath) The upholstery and carpeting in the only living area was worn and grimy.

    This property was well past its use-by date. 3 lights were not functioning. The bathroom was carpeted (Old) and the area surrounding the WC was badly stained and smelled of urine. We declined to stay and would not recommend it.
