The Granary offers comfortable and charming accommodation; a great base to retreat to after exploring Cheltenham, the Forest of Dene and more!

Originally an early 18th-century granary and stables attached to the owner’s farmhouse, also a listed building, surrounding a colourful courtyard. These holiday apartments have been converted retaining the original beams and stone walls, providing great character. In a backwater of this historic village, they are only a few minutes from Cheltenham Racecourse. No. 7770 is on the first floor and approached by a covered flight of wide stone steps; No. 7554, on the ground floor, is suitable for the disabled. There are pleasant views up to Cleeve Hill, the highest point of the Cotswolds, 1 mile away. Cheltenham, its gardens, theatres and restaurants, is 2 miles, and Stratford, the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean are within easy reach, as are the whole of the Cotswolds. Shops 200 yards, pub 100 yards.

All on first floor: Living/dining room with beams. Kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 1 double with en-suite shower room, 1 twin. Bathroom with toilet.

Convector heaters, electricity and bed linen included. Cot. Microwave. Shared coin-operated washing machine and tumble dryer. Dishwasher. Shared courtyard with chairs. Parking (1 car).

DVD. Wi-fi.

Cottage was lovely. The description and photos clearly showed the age of the building and the low ceilings and beams, so we knew about these before booking. Host was friendly and helpful. Only two minor - VERY minor - suggested improvements. We were told, on arrival, it could get stuffy in hot weather. As the owners know that, it would have been nice if a couple of fans could have been provided. Secondly, an "equipped kitchen" means vastly different things to different people. While most things I wanted were there (with the exception of a non-glass chopping board), sharp knives that were actually sharp and not bendy would have been welcome. But apart from those small and easily fixed things, the cottage was wonderful!

It is a lovely upper floor flat in a very pretty village. The roof beams were quite low and we are all tall so we had to duck under them. One of the showers did not work well as the water pressure was poor. Despite this I would stay there again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Granary. Jane and family made us very welcome and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The cottage is an excellent base for exploring the Cotswolds. Situated in the village of Prestbury, the cottage is just a short bus ride from the centre of Cheltenham. Local amenities (shops, pubs, Post Office etc.) are only a few minutes' walk from the property, which is very comfortable and well equipped. We would certainly consider staying there again.

Poor quality, dangerous lounge window. Low beam. very poor shower facilities!! how anyone can call this a shower in the bathroom is in my opinion not telling the fasts of the situation. Shower hand set in the main bathroom can not be raised to any useful height. Location of the beams in the kitchen Bathroom make use of these room restricted. All kitchen utensils and pots and pans had to be washed before being used. No basic provisions provided for arrival. The only thing the owner was concerned with was the height of the ceiling beam in the lounge, would we hit our heads.... it was obvious by attidued that the ONLY concern was will we make a claim..... The ensuite shower was in poor condition and dirty mould and dirt on shower hose, frame and the shower door. I must say we are now not looking forward to having a similar experience with the holiday we have booked with C4U later this year... we are regulars to book with you and are very disappointed with this booking.......

The flat is charming and cosy, clean, comfortable. Having two bathrooms is so convenient when you travel with two teenagers. The only downside is the lack of hot water pressure in the bath, which made it very difficult to shower, especially for long hair. But we were quite happy to share our shower. Very good beds. We were warmly welcome by Jane who told us about the places worth visiting. We would definitely stay at the Granary again.

We had a Lovely holiday (4 all over 75) comfortable beds & nicely equipped, hot water a little slow, lights could do with up-dating, just mind your head on the beams, apart from these point would still go again, very helpful owner.

The Granary was in a good location and great for self-catering, clean and well-equipped However, we kept banging our heads on the beams and the floors were very creaky and we felt really sorry for the people beneath us! Great for people under 5 foot 5 inches!
