The Granary is a spacious detached barn conversion, which occupies a peaceful rural location in the heart of the beautiful Cheshire countryside. Enjoying uninterrupted views across the surrounding farmland, it’s a great holiday location for walkers, with access to many footpaths and walks to suit any ability from gentle canal and pub walks to more challenging forest treks and trails, including the popular Sandstone Trail. Cyclists will enjoy the trails through nearby Delamere Forest, 15 miles, where there is also the ‘Go Ape’ treetop adventure park with aerial zip wires and forest segway. Other activities available nearby include golf and fishing (free fishing available locally). The Granary is located just 3 miles from the market town of Nantwich and provides the ideal base from which to explore all that this fabulous county has to offer. Cheshire is well known for its historic cities, friendly towns and villages, stately homes, museums and beautiful gardens. Chester with its historic city walls, great shopping and famous races is just 19 miles away. Manchester and Liverpool are both within an hour’s drive. Families will enjoy Anderton Boat Lift, 17 miles, Chester Zoo, 20 miles, and Blue Planet Aquarium, 22 miles. National Trust properties within easy reach include Little Moreton Hall, 12 miles, Biddulph Grange, 16 miles, and Tatton Park, 17 miles. The castles at Beeston and Peckforton are also worth a visit. There are plenty of shopping opportunities at Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Village, 22 miles, and Blakemere Village, 13 miles, which in addition to its antiques and crafts also has a falconry centre. Close to the Welsh border, The Granary is also very accessible for North Wales and you can be on the beach at Llandudno or Rhyl within an hour and a half’s drive. Shop and pub 1 mile, restaurant 2½ miles.
