The Granary is truly exceptional amongst many cottages we went to. The owners have obviously very high standards in what they consider good holiday stay. The property was very clean and tidy, tastefully furnished, no cheap and "after granny" type of accessories and equipment. Very practical for having a dog - easily managed surfaces inside and gravelled driveway outside. We really felt like home from home and can't praise the owners enough for the outstanding holiday property. There are plenty places to visit around the area or just walking out in the fields. The village itself is very peaceful and beautiful, walking distance to the pub in the next village.

The cottage is really lovely - well equipped and decorated with plenty of thoughtful touches that make it feel like a home from home and not just a rented cottage. It's in a very peaceful setting with walks from the door, and the pub in the next village serves excellent food. The hosts are super - warm and friendly without being at all intrusive, and generous with goodies to welcome you to the Granary.

Charming property, clean and very well equipped. We stayed for three weeks, a full cleaning and linen change were carried out once a week and the bins were emptied regularly. Beautiful garden, very secure for little children and pets to play in. The dog-friendly owners were kind enough to add a wire grid to the barrier to ensure our little dog could not run away. Hillary and Guy are both attentionate and discrete, and had prepared a wonderful welcome basket overflowing with delicious local products for our arrival ! Very quiet surroundings. There are lots of beautiful walks to do in the neighbouring area and the property is perfectly located to visit Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Rutland. The village is very close to the small market town of Grantham, which offers a lot of shopping facilities, cash machines, and change offices for non-UK visitors, and various tourist attractions also lie within easy reach. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this proprety or to rent it again if we had to come back to this region, as we had a wonderful time there with our little dog !
