Hi, the owner was lovely and helpful with local knowledge. I think the downstairs bathroom needs updating, and I found the lounge a little dark. The area, location and situation of the cottage was great.

A brilliant stay! The owner was so helpful and knowledgeable and the locals so friendly too. We really enjoyed the location for access to the village and beaches and the cottage is just so adorable. We have stayed twice and we will definitely be back to stay again!

Lovely, cozy cottage. Location was great apart from a racetrack a few miles away which was noisy at times. We would definitely stay there again.

first time to the area, nice place to get away from it all with some great places to eat out locally. But as for the gatehouse its self, strong smell of damp in the downstairs bedroom, bathroom downstairs in serious need of modernisation along with the kitchen with a cooker that is around 30 years old that was a poor one even in 1986. Living area wasn't comfortable very sub standard seating . Stayed in quite a few cottages in recent years and this is by far the worst I have had. The gate house does not offer the minimum expectations these days in my opinion.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments. This property was visited on 16th September 2016 by a Wyndhams Assessor who found excellent levels of cleanliness throughout. The electrical equipment in the kitchen was dated but in good working order. I am disappointed with this review which does not reflect the comments in our visitor’s book. The kitchen equipment is due for replacement during the winter months.
