Fantastic place to stay, great location for the dog walking and a little pub just a short walk.

8 friends visited for a weekend, lovely place with ample space, comfy beds, 3 bathrooms and a well Equipped kitchen. The property is remote but lovely walks and a pub 10mins walk away down the canal. Shops a good drive away but it is lovely and quiet and in a beautiful location. Highly recommend a stay in this lovely mill.

This is a gem of a property, either for familys or group holidays (we were the latter). We arrived to find the property spotlessly clean and very spacious. We loved the ruralness of the location, it provided us plenty of walks and cycling. Just a short walk to the local pub which had lovely homecooked food. We couldn't really find fault with this property and appreciate the constraints of its location and property style with that in mind cannot rate low against it. However, if at all possible suggest the only 2 items where improvements (if possible) be made are; 1) Showers - 3 in the property, which is great for a large party, howevever we all used the one in the basement due to the lack of pressure to the other 2 2) Pillows. Some beds had 2, some only had 1 and they were very flat. Overall this property was brilliant, we all had a fantastic time throughout our stay and would definatley return.

We enjoyed our stay at the Flint Mill, but it was lacking just a bit of care and attention. The kitchen wasn't properly clean, there was a leaky tap and the dishwasher didn't wash the utensils properly. The blinds in the lounge were broken and the en-suite shower didn't work. It was still a nice property, as long as you don't mind having no phone reception and no internet. The walks were absolutely lovely and it was nice having the trains and boats going past. Unfortunately we had to attend A and E as my daughter fell down the stairs (which was her fault and nothing to do with the stairs) and the information for the local hospital was wrong and out of date. The phone book was from 2009/10 so was out of date aswell. Obviously it isn't going to happen very often but if you do need to use the A&E you need up to date information.

It's a great property - in a perfect location - the canal one side, a steam railway the next. The decor is dated - and not that cosy, but adequate. Only thing I'd recommend is that you take your own washing up liquid, toilet roll, washing machine tablet's salt, pepper, oil etc - as there weren't ANY basics supplied - and considering the place is nowhere near a local shop, was a real inconvenience on arrival. If these were provided my review would have been much more positive.
