Description

Explore all the delights of the North Cornwall Coast from your base in this listed 18th century farmhouse - perfect for a family getaway.

Ideal for exploring North Cornwall Coast

This 18th-century listed farmhouse, furnished and fitted to a very good standard, is situated on a 450-acre mixed dairy farm and has the benefit of a spacious lawned garden. The owners retain the former servants’ quarters for their own use. The location is a perfect holiday base for exploring the spectacular North Cornwall coastline and Bodmin Moor - the sandy, surfing beach at Polzeath is 9 miles and the fishing village of Port Isaac 6 miles. Take a boat trip to Rock across the River Camel estuary, where there are watersports available, including surfing and water skiing. Discover the myths and magic of picturesque Tintagel where you can visit the ruins of King Arthur’s castle. The old fishing port of Padstow, with its maze of cobbled streets lead down to the harbour, is close by, as is the Camel Trail, which winds along the Camel estuary, perfect for walking or cycling. Woodland walks nearby. Shop and pub 1 mile.

Unfortunately it stated it had an enclosed garden which it didn't so every time the dogs needed to go out we had to walk them out be middle of the night or evening the kitchen equipment was a little to be desired frying pan was all burnt and only one of them no wooded spoons ect I have never seen so many spiders and webs before I don't think it had been thoroughly cleaned for months but on a positive note the bedrooms were very nice good size and the bedding was clean and the people were lovely

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your comments. The visitors on arrival commented about the garden not being totally enclosed for the dogs to roam free. I did offer to put up perfectly adequate hurdles (which have even used for this purpose successfully before) however this offer was declined. With regards to the frying pan I apologise that this was missed and it is a pity nothing was said as I would have replaced it straight away along with wooden spoons.
