Excellent location for walking. Quite noisy for those sleeping in mezzanine....acoustics seemed to magnify the noise! Pleasant hosts.

The most tranquil of settings, this beautiful comfortable barn conversion was everything that we hoped it would be and more..... we walked for miles with our dog through the lovely countryside. No mobile signal or internet access unless you climbed 'Smallpox Hill' just added to the peace ! Loved it, will definately be back next year, this time with my horse in tow.

Overall this was a very peaceful spot to be with views of the surrounding countryside from the properties windows. The lane can be muddy at times depending on the time of year but I think that this will be improved once the current barn conversion has been completed. The barn has been converted tastefully and is well equipped. Be aware that the water is chalky in that area. We de-scaled the shower head and the kettle while we were there, which made a huge difference. The rotary washing line could do with being in a different place and the lawn wanted cutting as the grass was quite long. It is a lovely place to experience sheep and horses. We picked the ideal time as it was lambing season. Children would need to be supervised outside, particularly as the garden area with the property is not fenced off. The 2nd barn conversion just taking place is going to be lovely too when finished. We were given a tour of that. It will not overlook the existing one either.

This is an ideal cottage for families like us who prefer to be off the beaten track with many picturesque walks on the doorstep. I would have designed the layout differently by swapping the lounge and the kitchen because as a visitor we spend more time resting than cooking. There was a heavy smell of 'dog' in the cottage when we arrived but this dissipated once we aired the cottage. Overall there was plenty of space for all of the family and the people in the area are very friendly and welcoming. If you love horses, you'll love this location.
