Lovely large house, very clean just needed a few end of year repairs. Would definitely stay again. Very peaceful, nothing around locally, definitely need a car.

The cottage was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The village shop was well stocked and everyone was friendly. We enjoyed the surrounding countryside, which was beautiful, and ventured further afield to Blackpool, Lytham Hall and Lancaster, all of which were interesting. The weather was good and the only thing that would prevent us returning was the long and tiring journey from Kent.

Overall it was a nice house, spacious and quite well equipped (except that I was unfortunately taken ill and we had to vacate early) however with three teenage girls to look after, the big no no for us was that in the upstairs bathroom/toilet there is no curtain or blind or even net of any description. The toilet is placed exactly by the window and right by a road and adjacent to another road. One feels vulnerable getting in and out of the shower especially at night as its like a goldfish bowl. It's the same in the downstairs toilet, although to a lesser degree, but a curtain / blind is such a small thing with a big impact..... such a shame or we may well have returned.

Lovely holiday home and surrounding area. Would definitely go back. To make it 10/10, I think an en-suite in the master bedroom would be the icing on the cake.
