A stylishly furnished cottage perfect for walking and cycling enthusiasts with trails and the South Downs National Park all accessible.

This pretty 1930s detached holiday cottage and annexe enjoy a rural location and lie on the edge of Droxford in the beautiful Meon Valley and South Downs National Park. Both the cottage and the annexe are stylishly furnished to provide a home from home feel with added comforts, including a wood-burning stove, open fires and a gym in the annexe with a punch bag, cross trainer and curl bar. The large lawned garden is a haven in the summer months, providing a perfect setting for al fresco dining with friends or family. Along with many other beautiful villages, West Meon is 5 miles, with pubs serving great food and where the founder of Lords cricket rests; Wickham and Bishops Waltham are both 6 miles and host an array of independent shops, cafes and restaurants. Within easy reach are the glorious South Downs, Portsmouth with historic ship yards, the Spinnaker Tower, waterside dining & ferry trips to the Isle of Wight, Cathedral cities Winchester & Chichester, Southampton with its remarkable maritime history, the vast array of scenic walks in the New Forest, beaches at Lee-On-Solent, Hill Head and The Witterings.
Walking and cycling enthusiasts will enjoy both the Meon Valley Railway Line trail, accessible from Droxford, and Beacon Hill accessed via Exton (2 miles). Shop, PO and three pubs (one was Good Pub Guide ‘Hampshire dining pub of the year 2011’), located in Droxford Village ½ mile.

Excellent base to explore the South Downs and within easy drive of Portsmouth harbour. Cottage had good facilities and met all our needs. Need to take care on walk to Droxford as there are no footways.

Visiting the Beaulieu Autojumble and the Goodwood Revival the Crest had/has a perfect location - just in the middle. The house had good space for our group of 9 persons. A few mecanical problems with the heating and the washer were solved - thank you, Christine -and everybody were happy. Droxford is a very nice village, and the South Downs are beautiful. So, Lynne, don't feel too safe, maybe the Jutes from Denmark will come again!
