We had a lovely stay, great for large parties. Up stairs rooms are lovely, down stairs needs some work, looking very tired and a scruffy. Shower in the main bathroom is not good at all, we ended up using the one in the NetSuite of the master bedroom. We're unable to use the hot tub most of the week due to it having lots of floating bits in!!!! Which was a disappointment!!!! But for us it was all about the family being together.

Really pleasant property with a quirky layout. Kitchen set up a bit strange but very usable. Heating set up a bit unusual but with time easy to set up and use. Hot tub a real plus. Would stay again no problem.

everything was fantastic apart from the sofa bed which two of our party slept on was not very comfortable, need a new one and on the house information it said it was in a separate room, which it wasn't, it was in the main family room

The venue was very worn, both inside and out. If any of the party had mobility problems they would not have been able to enter the property from either the front entrance or the back - both having steep steps. On the whole, the property could have done with at least outside attention to the paintwork. It was disappointing not to be able to access the garden direct from the property. To do this, you had to go down a steep staircase to the back door which then entered a very small and dismal courtyard. You then had to go through another gate into the communal garden area to get to the gate to enter the garden. The rooms were of very good sizes. The kitchen items - crocks, pans, glasses etc - all needed to be cleaned before use. There were plenty of clean towels. We found out whilst we were at Wern Y Wylan Court of its history - being part of the Arts and Craft movement and of its perhaps most famous occupants - whilst as a hotel - of Edward and Mrs Simpson who would visit for the peace and tranquillity of the area. More information on the house and how it evolved would certainly add to the appeal.

On arrival no washing up liquid only 3 tablets for dishwasher no bath spray for cleaning, no bath plug in family bathroom, main television poor reception, after contact with owner/agent these matters were resolved. Generally speaking the property was very tired for the price paid.

I can't say it is the best accommodation we have stayed in and certainly it didn't reflect the price, I think just 'okay' is probably the best description. Sometimes it is the little touches but in this case it was the big touches as well as the little. Not enough seats in the breakfast room, windows not closing correctly, broken windows not repaired, decorating unfinished in the wash room, not to mention clear glass in downstairs toilet in the utility room as well as in the master bathroom. A point made to be careful what to use when cleaning but leaving no cleaning material for this purpose. Have stayed in less well appointed cottages that have included the little touches which can mean a lot. A hot tub, enjoyable as it was, does not make this property 4 star.
