Welcome Cottages

A carefully curated collection of properties that offer high quality, good value accommodation in great locations across the UK, Ireland, France and Italy

Relax in the grounds or choose one of the footpaths on the doorstep and explore the Ashdown Forest area.

Nestling on the south side of the Ashdown Forest, on the edge of the hamlet of Piltdown, this semi-detached cottage lies within the owner’s 10-acre grounds and provides ideal holiday accommodation for a romantic break. Cyclists, golfers and walkers are well-catered for, with many footpaths that criss-cross the owner’s land. Nearby golf courses include Piltdown, Royal Ashdown in Forest Row and the East Sussex National at Little Horsted. Take a picnic and enjoy the opera at Glyndebourne, visit the glorious Sheffield Park Gardens and Wakehurst Place. See Charleston Farmhouse, the home of Vanessa Bell and the Bloomsbury set, and enjoy their literary festival during May.
A 30-minute drive takes you to the beautiful South Downs National Park, and Brighton with its cosmopolitan bohemia, traditional seaside vibe and an opportunity to venture aboard the British Airways i360, the worlds tallest moving observation tower from which you may be able to spot the Isle of Wight. The more genteel Eastbourne boasts a pier and a marina from where a boat trip gives a different perspective to viewing the white cliffs and iconic Beachy Head. Plumpton races and The Bluebell Steam Railway also make for a great day out. Fishing is available at Tanyard Fishery (at cost, licence required). Beach 22 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 1¾ miles.

This is by far the best self catering accommodation we have ever stayed in! It is fabulous in every way. Exceptionally equipped kitchen, wonderful power shower, really comfortable sofa with huge tv with free Netflix. Fantastically comfortable king size bed with super mattress and pillows. Lovely and warm, exceptionally peaceful surroundings. Very good location close to towns but actual cottage situated in owners grounds which is down a country lane off the main road. Lovely owner who needs to be congratulated on providing such a wonderful place to stay in. Thank you Denise. We will definitely be back

We loved out stay at The Cottage. It was very well-equipped and had the most comfortable sofa and bed! It was spotlessly clean too! It is in a great location and very quiet - just what we needed! We will definitely be back and highly recommend it to others.
