In a brilliant location for exploring, there are plenty of nearby attractions ranging from Glastonbury to the Fleet Air Museum.

This former hayloft barn dates back to the 17th century, is attached to the owners’ farmhouse, and is conveniently situated just off the A39, approximately 2 miles from the centre of Glastonbury. This comfortable holiday cottage has been restored and renovated to a good standard, keeping much of its original charm and character with exposed stone walls and a flagstone floor in the kitchen. The pretty garden has a river running just behind the hedge, and a national cycle path and footpath pass through the grounds. There are many interesting attractions and places to visit nearby including Glastonbury which is well known for its King Arthur legends, the Tor, the Abbey and the annual music festival. Wells is England’s smallest city set around a cathedral and the Bishop’s Palace. Wookey Hole has spectacular show caves and family attractions, and Cheddar Gorge is Britain’s grandest limestone ravine, carved through the Mendips. Enjoy a nostalgic trip into the age of steam on the West Somerset railway; and the Fleet Air Museum has Europe’s largest naval collection of aircraft. The coastal resorts of Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare are an easy drive away, as are the cities of Bath and Bristol. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant ½ mile.

Ground floor: Living/dining room. Kitchen. First floor: 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 twin, both with en-suite shower room and toilet.

Electric heaters, electricity, bed linen and towels included. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Washing machine. Dishwasher. Freezer. Wi-fi. Small lawned garden with patio, sitting-out area and furniture. Parking (2 cars). Cycle store. Welcome pack. No smoking. NB: River in garden, 100 yards.

Perfect holiday retreat for a group of 4 adults with welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive presence of the owners next door. Brilliant for taking the bus - stop is at the gate of the property - so a welcome change to be able to leave the car parked up. Very cosy and comfortable and well equipped.

Delightful welcoming owners. They certainly enhanced the holiday for our grandchildren. Highly recommended for a family holiday with younger children.

Great welcome and a lovely stone cottage. Is close to the main road but you don't really notice it. Stream to the side of the garden is lovely with lots of birds to watch and is accessed via a small gap in the hedge. You'll need to keep an eye on young children although ours never really bothered with it. It's close to Glastonbury and Wells is not far away. The cottage itself is lovely with en suite bathrooms with showers in each. There's a washing machine and dish washer and a decent sized flat-screen TV that has an HDMI input should you need to plug-in a device for rainy days. WiFi is great and free. Cottage was very clean and modern inside and the beds were comfy. A wonderful cottage and a great stay and we look forward to visiting again - highly recommended.
