Whilst we had an excellent holiday, we were surprised at the state of the accommodation. There were various things that did not work - the dryer of the washer/dryer, the 4 piece toaster which was a fire hazard, 2 of the showers were not up to standard, the downstairs bedroom was damp and 2 of the beds were not good . All the linen and towels and bathrooms were clean. The house could do with some T.L.C with the need for redecoration and paint and some door handles require replacement. Having said that it is a wonderful house which catered well for the 11 of us. The children thoroughly enjoyed their stay.

We had a great week in this spacious and comfortable house. The location is excellent and it was a huge advantage to have lots of off-road parking space so close to this popular town. This is not a modern property and some of the bathroom fixtures and fittings are dated but functional and we had everything we needed. We felt this house offered very good value for money given the proximity to shops and beaches at St Ives and we loved the period decor.

It's a beautiful house in a perfect location. We loved the sitting room. Plenty of cutlery and kitchen equipment. Outdoor furniture was filthy and therefore we couldn't sit out, this didn't particularly bother us as we were at the beach most days. The Bbq is rusty and unusable. I feel it shouldn't be advertised as having outdoor furniture and bbq if they are both unusable. The bathrooms hadn't been cleaned properly so i had to rush around cleaning them all before the rest of our party arrived. They should pay a proper cleaner, I would have paid extra for it. The beds are extremely creaky and wake you up throughout the night. The mattresses and pillows looked brand new though. It's really tricky to decide whether I'd stay here again because the house itself is fantastic and we as a family had a great time. I would love to go back again if it was to be cleaned well, had new, comfy beds and some of the bathrooms upgraded a bit.

The Cottage could be a wonderful place to stay. It is a spacious, well located house with considerable character. It is spoiled by the lack of hot water, especially in the downstairs bathroom, the bedsheets having holes in them and the lack of a thorough clean both inside and out.

Great Holiday really Enjoyed, but The Showers need upgrading the cleaners need to pay more attention to detail on handover, Table and Chairs would be nice to enjoy outside.

Let's start with the problems: The beds could do with upgrading upstairs as they seem to be held up with wood underneath and squeak when you move on them overnight we also had a problem with the downstairs shower where we couldn't get hot water. Other than that we had a great week in the cottage the kitchen is fully stocked with all the cooking aids needed also with 2 fridges, 2 microwaves and 2 toasters!! Nice big dining table to sit the whole family around. Location is brilliant with views of the sea plenty of car parking space outside for at least 4 cars. Would definitely stay again.

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your comments regarding the upstairs beds, this is something we are replacing and they are on order. We have ordered high quality hypos beds for the upstairs bedrooms.

Had a great week with 9 photographers and all their gear. Only downside was when we all sat together in the lounge 5people had to sit on the draughty hard window seat. There is a phenomenal amount of crockery and cutlery.

This is a really good place to stay in St Ives. It is a short walk into the heart of the town - we used our car only once during our week there. It is not the most modern of houses and does need some tlc in places e.g. the beds, the showers (and the downstairs bedroom did smell of damp) but the sitting room is comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. A shame there is no suitable outside space. We would stay again.

Excellent property for a large family and very well equipped and position to the town, just a five min walk.
