A real home from home with the added novelty of being located in the midst of a working farm. Our host Mary provided everything we could have possibly needed including a very welcome tea tray for arrival and a generous supply of home baked shortbread cookies! She also provided useful information about good places to eat which was very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this cottage. The owners John and Mary were very welcoming and we enjoyed their home made short bread. Our 3 year old was entertained by all of the toys that are in the cottage and the cows and other animals on the farm. If we were this way again we would without hesitation book and stay again.

Lovely cottage in every respect. John & Mary, the owners were very friendly & the home-made shortbread was both delicious & plentiful. To be surrounded by a working farm was fascinating & interesting. One morning, as we threw back the curtains, we were in time to see a cow producing a beautiful calf - not something townies often see. The track from the road won't suit low-slung sports cars but all the pot holes were filled in by John, unbidden by us, during our stay. Coal & logs were freely provided & the open fire in the lounge made such a difference when the evenings got cooler. We'd love to return to this cottage, but one needs to be prepared to travel a fair bit as, naturally enough, it is a very rural setting.
