Description

Comfortable and cosy spring to mind for this beamed barn conversion in a quiet village close to picturesque Porthgain harbour.

Ideal touring base

Set on the edge of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park is The Coach House, a sympathetic conversion of a traditional barn bursting with character. This quaint, detached cottage is situated in the quiet village of Mathry and a short drive from Pembrokeshire’s north coast and beaches. Nearby Porthgain Harbour is an almost undiscovered jewel of the country steeped in history and still used as a small local fishing harbour, also links to the famous gallery of artist John Knapp Fisher and the Preseli Mountains with their long walks and burial chambers. The north coast of Pembrokeshire is an ideal location for the perfect getaway, an untouched and historic part of Wales. Ideal for golf. Horse riding nearby. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

All on ground floor: Living room with beams/dining room with beams and slate floor. Kitchen with beams and slate floor. 3 steps to 2 bedrooms: 1 double, 1 bunk. Bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Convenient for the north Pembroke coast, friendly and helpful owners, we really enjoyed our stay. There are great walks nearby and we would strongly recommend The She'd in nearby Porthcairn. The facilities are adequate for the purpose.

Perfect location for exploring this part of the coast and walking the Pembrokeshire coastal path. A cosy cottage with wood burner and everything you could need. Can walk from the cottage to local pub and the coastal path.

Most comfortable, cosy, warm, well equipped. We had everything we could hope for except for decent Reading lighting in the sitting room.

A lovely place to stay and very friendly, welcoming owners - our only problem was the lack of a private enclosed garden for our dogs, which meant an early walk out first thing in the morning

Excellent cottage, great location for walking coast paths, and visiting Fishguard, Porthgain, St David's, Haverfordwest, really quiet area, but pub within walking distance. Will use again.

An excellent base for a walking holiday, beautiful coastline and local villages. The property would benefit from access to wifi.
