Guests are welcome to wander through the lovely grounds and may take breakfast in the main house (extra charge), or play a game of tennis on its hard tennis court. Just a short drive from this rural retreat lies the medieval city of Kilkenny, 5 miles, on the banks of the River Nore, with its narrow winding streets, magnificent castle and bustling shops, fine restaurants and traditional pubs. Kilkenny offers an abundance of historic sites, abbeys, castles, Irish High Crosses, scenic walks and drives, horse riding, fishing and golf. Shop and restaurant 2.5 miles, pub 0.6 miles.
