Fantastic location for this well designed cottage, walks in the private woodland are great. Good pub close by. Edinburgh easily accessible by car, bus, tram or cycling along the canal towpath. Big downside for us was the worn mattress in the master bedroom, which detracted from a good nights sleep. We'd be delighted to return if this is replaced.

the downside were the oven needed a deep clean as did the washing machine, it was full of dog hairs. the bedroom skylight needs a blind. The plus side was great location, nice and quiet, very handy for the park and ride for Edinburgh. Nice touches such as liquid soap. Bottle of wine, bottle of milk, nice soft towels.

Location made it rather dark (weather didn't help!) and interior a little dated

The cottage could be absolutely brilliant with one or two improvements. However, it was clean and had all the basic comforts you would want on holiday. Easy to get to lots of attractions and lovely to walk along the canal. The Bridge Inn is well worth visiting.

The cottage is well equipped and clean. Beds very comfy and surroundings idyllic. The Bridge Inn is within walking distance and the food is edible. The canal tow path provides good dog walking if you tire of the grounds of Ratho Hall !

Well equipped, spacious cottage set in beautiful grounds close to Edinburgh. Peaceful yet very close to good road connections and trams to the city centre. Perfect for couples, families, children and pets. Some of the furniture is a little past its best hence only a 9 out of 10 but that is quickly forgotten as everything else is wonderful and presented excellent value for money out of season. The village pub is owned by the same family as the cottage and is outstanding, well worth a visit. We will be back.

A great location for Edinburgh and surrounding area. Had a great week even if the weather was hit and miss.
