This cottage was well presented. We were 3 adults staying here. It had everything you needed even a stairgate for toddlers. The showers were excellent. Plenty of kitchen equipment. Although overlooked the garden was enclosed and safe. Three bedrooms one with an ensuite. The double bed in this room had a very uncomfortable mattress which disturbed your sleep. The twin beds were also uncomfortable as really they were for children as the sides were wooden and as an adult sleeping in them you just kept knocking your knees. The mattresses didnt fit the bed and had fillers at the head end. The 3rd bedroom which was the largest had a lovely comfortable bed. The living room was large and had 3 large settees which gave plenty of seating however they were very hard and uncomfortable. The dining room at night was spooky as there is no curtain covering the full length window so we never went in there after dark. The cottage was lovely and warm and heating and water were automatically set for you.

We enjoyed the house and the quiet. The area is away from distractions of town life. The neighbouring fields are beautiful with lovely wildlife. Walking to the beach and local pub was lovely.

Lovely place to stay, good walks for the dogs and Winterton and the pub only a mile away, easy walking distance. Can recommend the Dunes Café at Winterton, lovely food. Wish there was more soundproofing - could hear the workmen on the site next door talking when I was in my bedroom, but would stay there again. Lovely garden to sit in and let the dogs out into. A very safe location. We had a lovely holiday - a dog's paradise.

This cottage is ideally suited for dog owners with a secure back garden and walks from the doorstep. We loved the walk around the estate and down the beach (stopping at Dunes Café) before heading back to the cottage. The cottage itself is very roomy, full of character and its one of the warmest barn conversions I have stayed in. All the necessary items (washer, dishwasher, large tv, dvd player, wifi) are available to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The Fisherman's Return is a must, great food and not expensive. The only downside during our stay (and I have not reflected this in the scores given) was the noise from the builders next door. Every day from Monday to Friday we were woken at 7.30am by a JCB digging 6 feet away from the cottage wall and / or a cement mixer. Had they commenced after 9am it wouldn't have been much of an intrusion but 7.30am was clearly unreasonable especially in such close proximity to a single glazed building. We were informed before our arrival of building work but we were told it was light landscaping which clearly wasn't the case. In summary I would recommend this cottage as a great place to stay but unless you enjoy early mornings I would seriously consider other options until the building work has completed.

Excellent cottage, very well equipped and comfortable with a lovely heating system and woodburner. Good location, especially for walking our dogs, as their are field paths nearby and the beach is within walking distance. Would return and highly recommend to others.
