We have just returned home from a 4 night stay at The Coach House the property was very clean and in a good location , However when we booked it we did not realise it was so close to the owners house which to be fair is our fault . One side of the property directly faces the owners property and is no more than 20 metres away which does have an impact on your privacy ,we found we had to have all the curtains closed on one side of the property to claim back some privacy which in turn then took away the views , there were several visitors to the connected stables and this brought quite a lot of noise , The property has a hot tub which is good but the owners feel the need to go and inspect it without checking if we were using it my personal view is once you pay your money that property is effectively yours for the duration of your stay , There is a garden at the rear of the property which is reasonable private but it was littered with dog muck we found the owners pet on the grass on several occasions I find it ironic has the owners do allow pets but insist on them being kept on leads . Overall the property is nice but if you want a truly detached property with privacy it probably is not the one for you .

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback, we are sorry you had issues. The property is a coach house and the name suggets it is near a larger house, however we do not feel it encroaches on your privacy. We have a small livery yard and the guests usually love to see the pony so sorry if this impacted at all, we apologise for that. The hot tub has to be checked daily due to health and safety guidelines. We apologise about the dog muck, we are ususally very fastidious regarding the cleaning of it. We ask guests to keep pets on a lead due to the smallholding to which our pets are used to. It is also within the terms and conditions from Cottages.com for dogs to be on a lead, and we noted that you didn’t bring a pet with you. Apologies for the pet in your garden he is a naughty jack russell puppy and hasn’t quite mastered boundries yet but will.

An absolutely beautiful cottage and surrounding area. The owners really go above and beyond with kitting the cottage to make it a perfect home from home. The hot tub was amazing also :)

The Coach House was a clean, spacious and very comfortable cottage in a very quiet location. The owner made us feel welcome and was available in case we had any queries. The layout was a little unusual with the lounge on the first floor and two of the bedrooms on the ground floor but the large kitchen and adjoined conservatory more than made up for this as did the hot tub which was well maintained by the owner. It was perhaps further from amenities than we had anticipated with the closest shop being about 15 minutes walk away. Visitors should be aware that this cottage is tricky to find first time, particularly in the dark, as it is down a quiet lane which is poorly signposted.

We had a lovely time at the coach house. The location and the cottage itself was lovely, made even better by the glorious weather. The hot tub was fantastic... The owners were very friendly and helpful! A minor point if you are a dog owner- despite being dog friendly, pets are asked to be kept downstairs. Usually this would be understandable, but with the lounge upstairs we would of liked to have ours with us in the evenings. Fantastic holiday!
