A lovely cottage in fantastic grounds. Lovely surrounding area. Perfect wood fire and everything we needed for our stay.

Nice area and lovely location, but it is overdue a revamp. Everything is just a litt tired and worn. Also the garden is far from secure for dogs.

    Response from:

Response on behalf of the Owner; Thank you for your feedback. I have had a very busy year and as soon as I have a free week in November, the Coach House is due for a revamp. The garden is not described as secure; it is 3 acres surrounded by a fence of different sorts, a lovely area to walk with your dogs.

Had a great weekend with the family, the cottage is well laid out and the area is lovely. Our only criticism was the cleanliness, the breadbin was full of breadcrumbs, the fire still had all the ash in and there was thick dust in places and cobwebs, the hoover was already full of dirt before I hooved up and found loads of dirt under the rug. I was told the cleaner was going in before we arrived but clearly he/she was in a hurry as there was little proof of this.

Disappointed that our beds were not changed hugely and other holiday accommodation we are provided clean bedsheets however in this one we had to just settle for one sheet for the whole two weeks which we thought was not very welcoming. Could be more cooking pans.

When the cottage was first built it would have been lovely but it now looks very tired, especially outside. It was good to get a welcome pack of flowers and basic food but all the crockery and cutlery needed washing before we could use it. The cottage was set in a very big garden but it was not well maintained and there was quite a lot of noise in the cottage from the main road which is only about 5 metres from the front door. It would have been useful to have some simple instructions about how to use the cooker and the TV remote and where to find the wi-fi code and there was also a shortage of hot water until we highlighted the problem. I don't know if things had be stolen but it would have been nice to have a pair of scissors in the kitchen, more than 1 bin liner, cutlery that matched and a better range of drinking glasses. It would also be useful to have a curtain at the window behind the tv in the lounge and at least one wardrobe for the upstairs bedrooms. Overall, the accommodation looked tired and appeared to be put together as a collection of mis-matched second-hand items from other houses.

There wasn't really a garden - the small space at the front was on top of a busy road and the back was amongst trees and not private. Kitchen equipment not briliant.

Was Pleasantly surprised on arrival, an Easter egg, free range eggs, juice, cake and wine, we have never had this before. The coach House is perfect as a base for exploring the forests and nearby towns. Guests before have slated it for its cleanliness and lack of utensils. We found it to be clean and well equipped, would definitely go back had a wonderful time in the amazing gardens with our dogs.

We had a great week at the coach house during the easter holidays with our 2 young children. The house was perfect for our needs and the garden really made it. It is way bigger than the picture looks and perfect for kids- big tree to climb, little dens and even a secret garden. There is loads to do in the surrounding area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our wedding anniversary stay at this cottage. The lovely owner had left us a few welcome supply surprises. They were a nice touch that immediately made us feel welcome and valued. The cottage itself was warm, comfortable and full of character but with it's modern touches. Being dog friendly mean't we we're able to enjoy the break with our whole family. It's was well stocked with books, games and the kitchen had everything we needed. The grounds to the rear are really spacious, there is a golf course where you can walk the dog (on lead) and a woodland further along, we didn't explore it all fully. Best parts? - The log fire (with a well stocked log basket), the character, the warmth of the place and the thoughtfulness of the owner. Will definitely visit again, there is so much to explore in the area.
