The house needs wifi. Sofas were mostly comfortable but some do need to be replaced. (some past reviews said they were unuseable - this was just not true) The kitchen was lovely large farmhouse style and was well equipped. Lovely washing machine and drier. Dishwasher was good. I enjoyed cooking in the AGA - the slow oven was perfect for large pulled pork joints . The electric cooker was there as a back up. Some door handles need attaching properly!

If you want luxurious sophistication then this is not the house for you! If you want characterful, quirky and the ultimate house for a game of sardines then you are in the right place! Our group (age 18months to mid-50s) enjoyed the space, the well equipped kitchen, the warm large rooms, the plentiful bathrooms. The only thing that lets the house down is the appalling sofas! Come on owners - get down to Stretton Antiques Market and pick up some 'new' ones.

Although the decor is dated the house was extremely comfortable and suited our large group really well. The beds were comfortable. The house is so 'solid' we had babies sleeping upstairs and they were not disturbed by us downstairs!

We had a lovely time staying at the Coach House which is huge!! It was great for our party of 4 families as there was plenty of space for everyone. As seen on other reviews, it is quite dated in décor but this wasn't really a problem in most respects - the items which desperately need replacing though are the sofas! It was honestly more comfortable to lie on the floor. They are ancient and sagging and really not very comfy at all. One of the showers could do with replacing too!.We would stay there again if there were new sofas as the terrible sofas basically meant we spent the majority of time in the kitchen sat on hard chairs - which were more comfy than the sofas! The kitchen is very cosy and welcoming though with the aga and a good place for everyone to meet up. There is a dining room with 2 tables but we only used it once or twice as preferred the cosy kitchen. The bedrooms and beds were all comfy so that was good.

The Coach House is a lovely big spacious house, ideal for extended families. The large garden on two levels is excellent. We appreciated the provision of children's toys, books and games, cots and high chair. Beautiful walks can be had from the doorstep, the atmosphere is peaceful. Very good supermarket in Craven Arms 10 minutes walk away. Potential visitors should be aware that the Aga has to be permanently left running in the kitchen - this can make it uncomfortably hot in the summer. When we asked for the Aga to be turned down and for the central heating to be turned off (as the upstairs bedrooms were much too hot for comfort and we could not leave the windows open with small children in the property), we then had no hot water in several bathrooms. When an extra immersion heater was then turned on for us, the situation improved, but hot water and shower pressure remained problematic in some bathrooms. It would be helpful to be supplied with more than one window key to lock the windows (necessary for children's safety) in all 10 bedrooms. It would also be helpful if the previous occupants' overflowing recycling rubbish boxes were removed from the front entrance of the property before the new arrivals, and if the black bin provision was more generous for large groups (we started off with just one bin, which was not enough). Despite the heating/water and rubbish disposal problems, the house was still a great place to stay.
