We chose the Chapel because of its location - near to relatives.

Response on behalf of the owner; Thank you for your feedback. We have made many changes to the Chapel over the 6 years we have been running it based on comments left by guests. Sadly, you have not made any contact with us regarding your stay so it is a little difficult to see what more could have been provided. We would like to assure you that we would have taken your comments seriously and regret not having had the opportunity to discuss your experience.

The Chapel was a beautiful place to stay. It had everything you could possibly need. Situated close to Bath, with a local co-op for emergency needs. A little difficult to find once there. Would love to return sometime, but found it a little expensive for the half term week.

Marksbury is a very nice and quiet little village 15 min. from bath by car and very convenient to start from if you want to explore the area. The house is nice to look at and very good furnished. For our party of 6 people there was much space and we especially appreciated the good kitchen with dishwasher and the large table in the living room. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean. Thank you Dee and Tim, you were very helpful and friendly hosts! If we had to mention something, it could only be that the house is not really soundproofed, meaning that people with a light sleep may not sleep as long others are active in the morning or evening. For us, this was not a disadvantage, because we all got up around the same time to be ready to get off for our trips. We were absolutely satisfied and if we decide to come to Somerset again, we will surely again call for this nice little cottage.

Fantastic property, photos do not do it justice much bigger than expected and a beautiful property. Extremely clean, everything you need and exceptional comfortable beds. Lovely touch with flowers and biscuits on arrival, much appreciated. Only disappointment was no Christmas tree for our Xmas stay. No WiFi is a shame as makes planning more difficult but realise this is out of your hands and there are plenty of informative leaflets at property. No hesitation in staying here again would just plan more beforehand. Fantastic stay !!

There were a couple of small problems: 2 dead light bulbs in the kitchen 1 dead light bulb in the main room 1 dead light bulb in the downstairs bedroom One of the 'controlled' bedside lights in the downstairs bedroom was off the circuit, so uncontrolled. The central heating was difficult to control. Maybe we didn't spent long enough working at the controls. Hot radiators in the middle of the morning not in the evening, peculiar. The windows in the main room should have been cleaned Important: The lavatory in the down stairs adjoining bathroom leaked and was loose on the wall. Hopefully the leak was fresh water no effluent.

Great property, owners are local which is great. Arrived to tea, coffee, milk and biscuits, along with flowers. Soap in the bathrooms and washing up liquid in the kitchen. Brought own washing pods for the washing machine, and there was airers in the property. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots, plates etc. Floor was a bit slippery, with bare feet or wearing just socks. Not great phone signal due to location. But me and the rest of my party agreed it is a great property and if we wanted to visit that part of the country again we would consider going back to this property.

A delightful place in a beautiful part of the country. The accommodation is of a very high standard and the owners are very nice indeed. We loved our stay and it is very peaceful. Definitely recommend the 18th Century Chapel for a peaceful retreat and for lots of comfort.

The chapel was well equipped and comfortable, although it would have been useful to know it had a highchair and plastic bowls to save us bringing our own. There was an excellent amount of space, however some kind of stair gate would have been nice. The owners were friendly although they left you to enjoy your holiday. A big thank you to Dee for returning the clothes I left behind.
