We had a very restful time in this idyllic cottage, we could hear the waves breaking in the cove about half a mile away, despite the booking for the end of October we were able to get out and about every day, the walk along the coastal path is spectacular. We plan to visit again in the spring.

The Cart House is ideal for both a quiet escape and a base for exploring all that North Devon has to offer. The proprietors couldn't be more friendly and helpful without being intrusive.

The cottage its self is behond beautiful, the surrounding areas are spectacular, even when it rained being able to watch cloud float over the rolling hills was lovely, the coattage was so homely you didnt mind staying it for a few hours, very relaxing environment. The people who own the cart house made it even better by helping us find lovely location for photos and sight seeing. Will definitely be going back hopefully next year once our daughter arrives! Have already recommended to family!

Really enjoyed our stay. We were met with a lovely cream tea. We would have been going there again except we are taking our dog next time but unfortunately can not take him here. Anyone booking a holiday here will love it just like we did.

Lovely stylishly decorated property, spacious, and beautifully isolated and yet within easy reach of places to visit by car. Great to do walks from. Friendly and helpful owners.

Febuary 21st/28th as we hoped, peace and quiet, very relaxing warm and cosy for this time of year due to the under floor heating.

A lovely place and friendly helpful owners, it was so quiet and relaxing. Try and arrive in the day time to appreciate and navigate the moorland. Be aware the nearest pub needs a car to access. We would definitely come again!
