Description

Set near fantastic coastal resorts such as Weston-super-Mare, this property is an ideal base for everyone wanting to explore.

Set in 6 acres of grounds

This cluster of holiday cottages (refs 27747 & 27748) lies in the picturesque 6 acres of grounds of Hinton Grange, a former hotel now lived in by the owners. The Drake Studio (27747) is semi-detached whilst The Campbell Cottage (27748) is terraced. Both have accommodation on ground floor level. They lie just off the M4, yet are surrounded by open fields and countryside, and being on the Cotswolds Way footpath, are ideal for walkers and cyclists. Virtually next door is the 17th-century Dyrham Park (NT), a grand baroque mansion with sweeping views towards Bristol, and also the venue for many concerts and summer events. Only 9 miles to the centre of Bath, with many famous attractions including Pulteney Bridge, the abbey, Roman Baths, Aquae Sulis Spa and the sweeping Georgian crescents. Bath is a lively, year-round destination, with museums, galleries, cultural events and unique shopping. Further afield is the start of the Cotswolds and within a short drive are the historic cities of Bristol, Wells and Salisbury. The coastal resorts of Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon and Burnham-on-Sea are within an hour’s drive. Shop 1/2 mile, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

All on ground floor: Living room with patio doors/dining room/kitchen. 2 bedrooms: 2 double (one 5ft, one zip and link), both with patio doors and en-suite bathroom with shower over bath and toilet.

Electric central heating included. Use of owner’s washing machine. Table top freezer. Small enclosed garden.

Both properties: Open fire in living room (initial fuel included). Electricity, bed linen and towels included. Travel cot and high chair on request. Freeview TV. DVD. Electric cooker. Microwave. Patio with sitting-out area and furniture. Shared 6-acre grounds. Ample parking. Welcome pack. No smoking. NB: Pond in grounds.

This property was delightfully spacious and freesat televisions were provided in bedrooms. Owner was warm and welcoming and left a generous welcome pack. The one item which we missed was a clock on the wall.

Amazing and lovely place to be. I stayed with my best friend for a long weekend, we left the husbands and small children at home and the cottage is the perfect place to relax and completely unwind. Great location and so much space, the pictures do not do the cottage justice, it's very spacious and extremely homely. Angela the owner is super lovely and helpful too. I can't recommend this cottage enough, absolutely value for money, we will be back!

A lovely characterful cottage ideally located for Bath and close to the M4 for areas further afield. The welcome pack was the best we have ever had, Prosecco and home made bread!!We were a party of 3 my wife and I plus Archimedes our dog and were made to feel really welcome by Angela and allowed to use the private garden. Food supplied to feed the ducks on the large pond which was a pleasant way to spend some time. A local pub is only 5 minutes walk away, it is very welcoming and served excellent value food with a large choice, dogs are more than welcome. The only negative, and this is being picky, is that the furniture was very low and my wife, who has a bad back found it difficult to get in and out of the chairs. Otherwise we had a great time there, even getting one day os un when we were able to use the garden furniture. A great place to stay.

A very comfortable cottage. A warm greeting from Angela on arrival and a much appreciated welcome pack including a bottle of wine. Other cottage owners could learn much from the welcome that's given. A truly enjoyable stay in a good location for visiting many interesting spots and Dyrham Park (NT) virtually on the doorstep.

Spent a lovely week here. Beautiful surroundings. Peaceful & relaxing atmosphere. Cottage well equipped home from home surroundings. Good location for dogs. Wifi connection very poor. Cosy real log fire for use if required. Angela is a lovely hostess & on site for any information you may need for your holiday. Local pub within 5 minutes walk & dogs are welcome. All rooms have TVs & en- suites in bedrooms. Would highly recommend a stay here, not far to Bath or Bristol. Lots of interesting places to visit including National Trust sites.

We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to friends and family. My uncle who was visiting from Arizona love the quaint English cottage and said if he lived here that's the sort of home he would like !!! There's much you can add to that.

Amazing welcome from Angela and her family - we arrived to find home baked bread and a bottle of wine waiting in our cottage! She also told us to let our kids use her garden and climbing frame / trampoline. Even better, our two enjoyed playing with her children on them.

First time in Campbell Cottage, but second visit stayed in Drake Studio last year. The owners are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. During the week the bedding and towels needed to be changed due to different couple staying bathroom cleaned as well at no extra cost. Lovely peaceful place to have a holiday. Wales only 40 minutes away and Bath 25 minutes. Great place to be will be going back again.
