Enjoy the hot tub at this property, as well as the views of the Irish Sea and the Duddon Estuary.

These four detached holiday properties are located at High Lowscales Farm, a traditional Cumbrian hill farm situated in the south-western Lakes, between the beautiful countryside of the Whicham and Duddon Valleys. High Lowscales Farm is a renovated traditional Cumbrian farmhouse and features its own spa hot tub, complete with massage jets and feature lighting; The Byre is a romantic two-storey barn conversion with feature four poster bed, and guests can enjoy their own spa hot tub; The Stables is a cosy two-storey detached stables conversion with a romantic four-poster bed and a barrel sauna on the decked area; and The Cottage is a spacious two-storey, two-bedroom detached barn conversion and guests can enjoy their own hot tub on the private decked area. The farm is set in 17 acres and has spectacular views down to the Irish Sea and the Duddon Estuary. Public footpaths cross the farmland, and next door lies Millom Park, perfect for woodland walks. The driveway is also a bridleway, ideal for mountain biking in the Whicham Valley and up the 600-metre high Black Combe. The beaches at Haverigg and Silecroft, and the Hodbarrow RSPB reserve are a 10-minute drive, whilst the market town of Broughton-in-Furness is 15 minutes away. Within a half hour drive you will also find Coniston Water, the Barrow-in-Furness Peninsula (pretty drives, Furness Abbey, The Dock Museum, Walney Island Nature Reserve, Piel Island, Furness Owls, Gleaston Watermill and the Cumbrian Coastal Way), Muncaster Castle and “La’al Ratty” miniature steam railway at Ravenglass which all make for wonderful days out. The Aquarium of the Lakes and steam boat cruises on Windermere are a 40-minute drive away. In order to make guests’ stay as relaxing as possible, drop-off suppers and massage and beauty treatments (at the cottages) can be pre-ordered (separate charges apply). Beach 2½ miles. Shop and restaurant 2 miles, pub 4½ miles. The properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 19 guests.

Dining area.
Kitchen area: With electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
First Floor:
Wooden floors and beams throughout.
Bedroom: With four poster kingsize bed and Freesat TV.
Bathroom: With shower over bath, shower cubicle, toilet and French doors leading to decking.

Gas central heating and gas included. Enclosed patio with sitting-out area, garden furniture and barbecue. Decked area with hot tub (private). 2 dogs welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Bike store. Private parking for 1 car.

All properties: Electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Welcome pack. 17-acre farmland grounds (shared with other properties on-site). No smoking. Please note: The properties have a natural water supply from a borehole.

    Excellent in every way ... ... only one negative and that is the hot tub men coming to clean the hot tub out at 9am when we didn't have to leave till 10 .... that last half an hour in the tub would have rounded the holiday off

    Lovely spot, peaceful area, easy access to the Lakes district. Very comfortable- enjoyed the hot tub. Had slight problem with the hot water on arrival but was quickly resolved by manager. Only suggestion would be a sign on the from gate as was slightly difficult to find. Recommend highly

    Absolutely stunning cottage finished to an exceptional standard. Perfect location for some excellent walking, I would recommend Silecroft-Haverigg beach and Black Combe. Windermere and Scafell 40-60 minute drive. The hot tub was divine with views overlooking the countryside. If you've booked you're in for a treat.

    The cottage itself was lovely, very clean and tidy and the perfect size and layout for a couple. The hot tub was small (2 person max) and situated in the only part of the garden which was overlooked by neighbours opposite, which was a little odd! There is a big problem with flies in the cottage which made a hot tub experience the worst I have ever had, constantly being attacked by flies and not being able to relax. The flies also got into the cottage a lot and at times there were ten or more in the main living room/kitchen. There are fly papers on all windows and a fly zapper machine so I think this is a regular problem. My only other quibble would be the fact that it was suggested as 'dog friendly'. I have a golden retriever and our plan was to park up at the cottage and not drive again until we left, but be able to walk each day. To do so however, meant either climbing through thick bushes on one side of the cottage or carrying the dog across three cattle grids as there was no dog-gate of any kind. The farm led on to roads without any paths and public footpaths that we're covered in stinging nettles and unpassable. That was a real shame and would stop me from returning.

    Great cottage! Hot tub was amazing. Nice area however not a lot to do on the local community 5 days was long enough. Would stay again for a relaxing break

    We have been to many conversion cottages and this was one of the best. The cleanest,All top mods,and in beautiful working farm surroundings. I will be going again. If there was a problerm they came straight away. Only thing being a barn conversion only a small window so on warm days it became very warm in the night. The option of a thinner quilt or a fan in the bedroom would be brill. Also for us ladies a mirror near a socket so we can see whilst styling hair. The hot tub well I abbusied it. So nice to relax in in the evening

    Great place to 'get away from it all' There are 3, soon to be 4 holiday lets in the farm. All the others were vacant during our stay which made it even more peaceful. Great walks right out of the door, a beach or 2 within 5 minutes drive and all the Lakes to explore. Property was warm, comfortable and had all the amenities including a super hot tub on the decking to the rear, great to soak those aching legs!

    We had a fantastic Easter break away stopping at the Byre. The hot tub and views were amazing. We took our dog with us too which was an added bonus, he loved the walks nearby. Would defiantly recommend you will not be disappointed staying here.
