Our 11th visit to Tritchayne. Another excellent visit to The Bull Pen and a lovely welcome from Glennis and John. The cottage was in it's usual tip top condition and the weather was very good.

If you dont mind dead bugs, live spiders and huge cobwebs then this is the place for you. We needed to clean the cottage before being able to go to sleep. The shower was poor, mould around the shower screen. The tv was tiny, so dont go there for a relaxing evening in front of the tv. You are given specific recycling instructions the moment you arrive. (For us we were also provided with a long armed feather duster!!!). The cottage location was very good. The fact that we needed to clean for two days spoiled this much needed break for us.

    Response from: Administrator

Response on behalf of the owner; We are very sorry to read your comments about the Bull Pen as we take our commitment to the comfort of our guests very seriously. As you will see from previous comments, we have been awarded marks as high as 10 and certainly never as low as 4. Mrs Mills admitted that she had a spider phobia when I took the long-handled broom (NOT a feather duster) into the cottage and offered to clean away any offending webs etc. and I was told to hand it to Mr Mills "who is used to doing this". The Bull Pen is a very popular cottage with high, vaulted ceilings and high beams and spiders have a habit of returning to spin webs within minutes of being swept away! Regarding the "tiny TV" we think that the 19 inch screens provided in each of our five properties are adequate for the size of the sitting areas. We could find no trace of "mould" on the shower screens nor a problem with the actual shower. Had we been informed earlier of any of these complaints we would have been able to speedily rectify them.
