It was an enjoyable break at the Bothy.... all comforts home in the middle of country side. The Cotswold and Wiltshire offered plenty of places of interest and all within driving distance and senior citizen compatible. Our hosts were very friendly. The fruits and the cake were very much appreciated. The kitchen was very well equipped and there was plenty of information about what to do and where to go and eat etc. Only wish the weather was a bit kinder. Thank you.

In a nutshell The Bothy is furnished and equipped as a home not a holiday let. All the bits and pieces you usually take for the kitchen (just in case) were there including hand soap, fairy, cloths and washing up pads, plus much more. Toiletries were also provided in both bathrooms, you definitely won't need toilet rolls. The owners, Kate and Peter were superb hosts throughout our stay and we were invited to wander there beautiful garden which included a lily pond. There was also a large bowl of fruit, a delicious cake and milk in the fridge. We are regular cottage renters and simply don't recall another let scoring as highly as The Bothy.

Lovely stay in a great cottage. We were made very welcome and would recommend it to anyone. We enjoyed reading the books and playing the Cd's and games provided. The chickens in the owners garden were a real bonus and our little girl loved them!

The cottage is set in the owners grounds which are lovely at any time of year. Great care has been taken to ensure visitors have all they need and extras are generously provided such as toiletries, fruit and cake. The bathrooms and kitchen are of the highest standard. There are lots of interesting places to visit very close by and the Cotswolds are a short drive away.

Wonderful cottage. Nothing missing. 8 for location because we like to go walking and footpaths were badly sign posted but this would not stop us returning. The cottage makes it worth the extra effort needed for the recreation.

This is an excellent cottage and certainly one of the best we've stayed in. It's cosy and welcoming with extras that make it even more special - a bowl of fruit and home made cake. The owners are friendly but don't intrude being on hand if needed.

The cottage is spotlessly clean, and the owner, Peter, very welcoming and helpful. The beds are gloriously comfortable, and the kitchen has everything anyone would want. We were grateful for the fruit and milk, and all the little extras upstairs too, like toiletries, tissues, and loads of towels. There are also hundreds (literally) of books to choose from, as well as DVDs and CDs. Our only (very small) quibble was the lack of hanging space or wardrobes for clothes, especially for coats and jackets - we really didn't want to mess up the lovely light beige carpets with our wet coats, but there was nowhere to put them. Maybe the writing desk in the corner of the lounge could be replaced with a cupboard or wardrobe? Just a thought. But a lovely cottage overall, and highly recommended.
