Elegantly furnished in a modern style, The Belfry has a contemporary feel and enjoys a quiet, tranquill setting, yet is handy for all local amenities.

The Belfry has been created from part of the former St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Windermere, a quality conversion, which has resulted in a light, spacious property most suitable for the discerning visitor.  The outlook from the elegant lounge is directly to the church tower and grounds and, nestling behind the main thoroughfare of the village, the Belfry enjoys a quiet, tranquil setting yet is handy for all local amenities, including the train station, Mountain Goat Tours and the local supermarket chain, Booths.
Elegantly furnished in a modern style, The Belfry has a contemporary feel that one would expect to find in a boutique hotel or chic city apartment. A neutral base has been cleverly co-ordinated with splashes of up to the minute colour to give interest whilst not detracting from the obvious, premier feature of the lounge window. The two double bedrooms are sure to appeal to two couples holidaying together who wish to be in a central location, handy for shops, restaurants and all the excellent attractions we’ve come to expect from this delightful area of Lakeland.

The Belfry was centrally located within easy reach of local shops and restaurants. The cottage was fully equipped. Cleanliness my daughter found hairs in room drawer. Otherwise it was clean. The ensuite bathroom had a nasty smell, possibly drains. We bought air freshners which did not help. It would have been helpful to have instructions available on how to use cooker and central heating.

Excellent location, handy for all amenities, even the bus stop is opposite the church. And the bells aren't that loud and they're off at night. Weather was kind, our granddaughter loved the open top bus and the ferry and the train. A lovely part of the country.
