English Country Cottages

An inspiring collection of properties chosen for their character, luxury and heritage, all graded 4 star and above.

Benefitting from a pretty landscaped garden and ideal for enjoying peaceful countryside setting, only 4 miles from Cornwall’s north coast.

With views over the glorious countryside these pet-friendly holiday cottages are situated just 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast. Buttercups Barn (ref: THF) and Campion Cottage (ref: THG) are converted barns adjoining one another; each enjoys its own pretty landscaped garden to the front which is an ideal place for morning coffee or al fresco dining taking in the sights and sounds of this peaceful countryside setting. They both have exposed beams and stonework and are light and airy and well presented. St Teath is about 1 mile with a pub and shops, and the larger village of Camelford is about 3 miles. Within a few miles are the sandy surfing beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay and the dramatic scenery of Boscastle and Tintagel, with its mystical ruined castle. It is a short drive from Port Isaac, a pretty harbour village where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed. Close by is the market town of Wadebridge and the harbour town of Padstow with its array of shops, restaurants and bars, including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant. Just across from Padstow is Rock which is great for water sports, and Bodmin Moor is excellent for walking and horse riding. Cycle hire available locally. Shops and pub 1 mile.

Cosy beamed living/dining room with electric ‘coal-effect’ fire, rug on oak floor, French doors to garden and compact farmhouse-style kitchen area with slate flagstone floor. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and French doors to garden. Walk-in shower room with toilet.

We had a wonderful time at campion cottage, the views are spectacular and conni is very accommodating with gifts on arrival which is a lovely touch. We have stayed in many cottages but this was the most well equipped. The only downside was that we could have done with an oven but apart from that very satisfied

wonderful cottage, providing excellent accomodation for a couple. The location is beautiful, the cows a little loud on a morning, but this is the country. Well worth a second stay.

Had really nice time. Connie the owner of the cottage could not be any more welcoming. The weather wasn't the best when we went to stay but that didn't stop it from being a great relaxing holiday. We would most definitely go back there again.

Fantastic little cottage , lovely warm and comfy. Great areas for letting dogs out. Just for us it wasn't near enough to a village or the coast. Fab hosts most welcoming went out of way to help.

Very lovely cottage in peaceful surroundings. Only comment would be that addition of an oven rather than having to use the microwave would be helpful. Great value for money and comfortable and clean accommodation which is and our two dogs enjoyed

A great holiday home, very peaceful, we loved watching the buzzards in the field opposite. Only disappointment was Camelford.
