Description

Benefitting from a pretty landscaped garden and ideal for enjoying peaceful countryside setting, only 4 miles from Cornwall’s north coast.

With views over the glorious countryside these pet-friendly holiday cottages are situated just 4 miles from Cornwall’s spectacular north coast. Buttercups Barn (ref: THF) and Campion Cottage (ref: THG) are converted barns adjoining one another; each enjoys its own pretty landscaped garden to the front which is an ideal place for morning coffee or al fresco dining taking in the sights and sounds of this peaceful countryside setting. They both have exposed beams and stonework and are light and airy and well presented. St Teath is about 1 mile with a pub and shops, and the larger village of Camelford is about 3 miles. Within a few miles are the sandy surfing beaches at Polzeath and Daymer Bay and the dramatic scenery of Boscastle and Tintagel, with its mystical ruined castle. It is a short drive from Port Isaac, a pretty harbour village where the TV series Doc Martin is filmed. Close by is the market town of Wadebridge and the harbour town of Padstow with its array of shops, restaurants and bars, including Rick Stein’s seafood restaurant. Just across from Padstow is Rock which is great for water sports, and Bodmin Moor is excellent for walking and horse riding. Cycle hire available locally. Shops and pub 1 mile.

Cosy beamed living/dining room with electric ‘coal-effect’ fire, rug on oak floor, French doors to garden and compact farmhouse-style kitchen area with slate flagstone floor. Double bedroom with 5ft bed and French doors to garden. Walk-in shower room with toilet.

Cottage was perfect for my husband and me and our two dogs. It was immaculately clean and the linen smelt beautifully fresh and clean. I can't recommend the cottage enough and we will definitely return. The local pub, The White Hart at St Teath is excellent and very dog friendly.

Cottage in lovely location, very clean and well equipped only problem was the shower and toilet. Shower pressure was very weak and the toilet was hard to flush. Welcome pack was a nice touch including the pint of milk to start us off.The sunsets from the cottage were stunning. Overall a good location for touring Cornwall.

Lovely little cottage , ideal for dog, however did think that it should be made clear that dog owners should clean up after their dogs. There was old dog poo in the garden and by the door .

Cosy little cottage in lovely location. Clean, well equipped and a warm welcome from the owner. Would happily stay there again. WiFi has been added and worked well for us. Combi microwave has a convection mode so can be used as a conventional oven, though probably not ideal for the Sunday roast. Location is good for most areas in North Cornwall, the approach road from the A39 (about 1 mile) is indeed quite narrow, but I've seen much worse, there are frequent passing places. The continuation of this road to the B3266 is wider and convenient if you want to head towards Bodmin.
