The Barn was an excellent base to see the Lake District as well as visit the local area. The accommodation had everything you would want or need and was very luxurious in its furnishings. The decked area was perfect for a relaxing glass of wine on a sunny evening and if the weather isn't as good there is plenty of room in the barn to spread out. Would recommend a visit.

Really loved the cottage and the setting is wonderfully peaceful. It is sympathetically designed, the modern layout complimenting the historic building, it is really clean and very well equipped and the wet room shower is fantastic, there were 2 couples in our party and there was enough space and the lay out allows for privacy as well as open plan living. It snowed nearly every day we were there, we were warm and cosy, it just made everything that bit more memorable. We would definitely come back as the cottage is well positioned for exploring the Lakes, Northumberland National Park, the Boarders and Hardrian's Wall. There are some great pubs, the food was very tasty, many of them are in the cottage information folder.

We had a fantastic stay in the Barn. We were looking for a quiet retreat with plenty of comforts, that is what we found. The accommodation is so well kitted out and designed perfectly, we'd go as far to say that this accommodation is one of the best places we've ever stayed. Alex & Tess have perfected the art of looking after their guests, if you get lucky you might even get a tour of Alex's stain glass workshops.
