Description

Ideally situated in a quiet hamlet, yet just 10 minutes’ drive from the A30 making the whole of Cornwall and West Devon accessible.

The Barn is a very spacious detached stone barn conversion, set within a 1-acre garden, abounding with nature and surrounded by 7 acres of private pasture land, which leads down to the River Lynher. East Berriow is a quiet and tranquil, unknown hamlet by Bodmin Moor, yet it is just 10 minutes’ drive from the A30, making the whole of Cornwall and west Devon easy to explore. This is a superb holiday home for a family with children or a gathering of friends throughout the year. There is a selection of equipment for the beach available at the property, including buckets, spades, mats, fishing nets, boules and more. The interior is light and bright, with open-plan living space, high, exposed oak trussed beams and views of rolling countryside from every window. The large wood-burning stove in the living room and the underfloor heating makes it especially cosy, ideal for autumn and winter breaks, and springtime in Cornwall is especially pretty. Shop 3 miles, pub ½ mile.

We all really enjoyed our stay at the barn, great for large families, very spacious and the kids loved exploring in the outdoor space.

Not the ideal location for our young family, however the property was excellent and would fit well for most. The mobile signal was very poor and with no landline or other internet access would have been a problem in an emergency

Lovely setting. Plenty of room. Wanted to be away from busy roads and we were. Nearest pub very good. Collected food cycling on the way round from various shops. Very hilly cycling. Monkey Sanctuary cafe was good. Needed underfloor heating on as cool at night and a bit damp first night.

One of our main reasons for selecting the cottage was its advertised proximity to the pub with food. On our arrival we discovered the pub was closed and for sale. We were forced onto our own resources for food etc. as a result.

Loved this cottage. Wonderfully converted. Gorgeous garden. Very peaceful. My only issue was the lack of signal for mobile phone. When this has happened before there has often been a payphone installed.
