Very nice and quiet cottage in the countryside. The owners live next door but will only come to you if you are asking for help. A lot of welcome local goodies at arrival (delicious!), and an extremely well equipped cottage: there is everything you need for a comfortable stay. Very easy also to visit Cornwall from there. We recommend a visit to Trebah gardens (close by and really nice!).

Everything catered for, level of equipment is great, even dressing gowns and slippers. A lovely cream tea of homemade bread and scones with jam cream and butter. We had a really good time here and will certainly be back. Myra and Sid are the most wonderful hosts, nothing too much trouble and their local knowledge is marvelous. If you need anything just ask. We have stayed in many places and this is one of the best, really worth it's 5 stars.

My boyfriend and I spent four nights at the delightfully remote Tresahor Veor and it was just the escape we needed from the fast pace of life back home. The setting was beautiful and we enjoyed roaming around the nearby countryside. The barn itself was restored to a wonderfully high standard and was very cosy once we had figured out how to get the log burner going! The kingsize bed was comfortable and we both slept well indeed - something that may have been helped by the fact that there was no light pollution whatsoever. Sid and Myra were the perfect hosts; available when you wanted to ask a question, but never intrusive. They came into their own on the last morning when the car started to make a horrendous noise just as we were about to set off on the six hour drive home. Sid called his friend at the local garage who managed to squeeze us in at short notice. Turns out a coil spring had gone, so the mechanics swiftly replaced it and we were on our way. Sid was so helpful - he could have just given us the number for the garage and left it at that, but he made the call, booked us in, then proceeded to get in his car, turn on his hazard lights and lead us all the way to the garage along the windy country lanes. He then gave us his mobile number and asked us to let him know how we got on. He really went the extra mile and took time out of his day to make sure we were okay, so for that we believe he deserves recognition. I would not hesitate to recommend a stay at Tresahor Veor to anyone. Cornwall at its best!
