Really enjoyed our stay and perfect size for a couple. Never used the log burner as even in first week of October we were nice and cosy. Lovely homemade cake, milk, grapes and fresh flowers were a pleasant surprise waiting for us on arrival. Lots to see and do in area within reasonable travelling times and a nice retreat to return to. Take some DVD's with you if plan on cosy evenings in as TV reception/wi-fi isn't the best but didn't spoil our enjoyment.

A great week’s holiday in this lovely cottage which was cosy, well equipped and very clean and comfortable. A superb base in a good walking area.

This cottage suited our needs perfectly and the owner who lives in the cottage next door could not have been more helpful. The mobile phone signal is very patchy and the wi-fi wasn't always reliable. It is a little gem of a place

Jan was so gracious. Great spot for us to do our walks around the South Downs. Very comfortable and serene environment. Loved the gardens, horses going by in the morning and the sublime quiet.

We loved our week in The Barn at Guiles as it was so lovely, peaceful, cosy and set in beautiful rural countryside. We enjoyed our walks from the cottage and loved being able to have a fire in the evening. The cottage has everything you could need and we very much appreciated the welcoming delicious home made mince pies, bottle of wine, milk and fruit on arrival. We would definitely stay there again. However if you are wanting WiFi this is perhaps not the place to stay...but it does force you to disconnect from social media and the internet which is perhaps not a bad thing.
